Hi, i have a 5 kg dry powder fire extinguisher which i want to convert to a co2 system for planted aquarium. Pls let me know if the following are possible. The fire extinguisher is a dry one & can be used for class A B & C type of fire so my questions are:-
1) is it possible to convert the dry fire extinguisher to a co2 system for planted aquarium
2) will this also have a tube inside which needs to be removed before refilling with CO2
Suggestions on what is the best regulator in double valve (the one that does not dump co2 in the fag end)available in the market & where i would get them in blore (outlet name would be of a great help)
thanks in advance
karthik

A dry powder fire extinguisher cannot be converted to hold pressurised CO2
and used for aquaria. Discard the idea right away.
You can only convert a CO2 fire extinguisher, by removing the inner tube for use in aquaria. |

Instead of waiting, why don't you search for the same in IAH old threads.. There are post explaining on how to use the fire extinguisher cylinder as co2 cylinder.
Read this old post of Trevor. He has mentioned everything clearly.
