|
|
My bettas have been lying in the bottom of the tank with clamped fins just coming up to take air then go down again lost 3 of them
This has happened since the day the rains started. I have a Thermostat with temp of 28 degrees
They are eating but are moving only sometime and that too sluggishly
what can be the problem. I have tried water changes but nothing has happened? |

Hello Ram,
How old are your Fries, try water changes only if your bettas are more than a month old.
Avoid water changes too regularly, see if you can boil the water, let it to cool and then add.
Ensures water purity atleast.
What are you feeding them ? |

Try giving them a break for a day (dont feed) , siphon off the lower bottom 10% of water.
How big are your bettas. |

I guess its internal parasites. Its really a nasty thing to happen.
Symptoms are ...
Losing weight, becomes lazy and slowly stop eating and die.
In the end they become vertical and wait to die.
These parasites comes from uncleaned worms.
I still don't know any treatment for that. |

I am encountering the same with my White Pink Betta and red Betta.
They are with me since more than 6 months now.
Both of them have become lethargic and not eating...m so sad.
I had a 1 feet tank divided in 4 sections with net shared by 4 bettas.
They were perfectly fine a month back, flairing beautifully like butterflies and healthy.Dont know what has gone wrong.
Have now kept both of them in small containers and have put pimafix medicine.
Just hoping they recover.

Please stop feeding for couple of days.
Add Indian almond leaf.
This usually does the trick.
