@yadnesh
i havent done nething big like this but in my outdoor aquarium which was actually a flowerbed which i have converted into a very small pond i dnt use any filtration system....may be because i have small fish and plants in it.....
i wonder how r u gonna keep duck in that place....they will hardly have any space to swim in there.

For a pond this size the filtration needs to be worked out even before the shovel hits the ground. Unfortunately filtration is almost always an afterthought in the case of ponds. Of this I am guilty as well although my pond is tiny in comparison.
In this case the best system would be gravity filtration where the water runs from a bottom drain to a settling chamber/basin to filter out the large waste then gets pumped to bio filter section and is then pumped back to the pond. But sadly the settling basin has to be built before the pond is constructed. Running external filtration in this size would be very costly.
and ducks and fish cohabitating is out of the question. Ducks can and will try to eat fish therefore the fish will hide and never be seen. Also ducks are extremely messy so the bio load in the pond will be huge. |

You need to factor in shade for this pond, at all times 2/3rd of the pond should be under shade to control algae.
and avoid green water. Another factor a depth of 5 feet is a minimum to avoid the water heating up under the sun and cause green water. |
