Guys,
I have a basic question. I am given to believe that the Lumens that hit the plants is of primary importance. When I look at the tech spec of the VIN-FLC30 (at vinopto.com that Nayak recommended), I find that this is 60~100Lm/W. I find that a T5HO is about 90Lm/W. This means that for the same intensity, you need about the same Wattage. But the idea of using LEDs was to get the same output at lower power. Where am I going wrong?
Regards
KD |

1 these are not first class LEDs. Market top class is somewhere at 140 L/W.
2. People primarily use there stuff as its cooler and more spot focused.
3. Check the LUX of both the stuff you compare.
cheers! |

+1 Romi
I think we have to wait more.....still it's not widely proven about plant growth, Plant health, Plant color etc. etc.
And also a LED fixture (I just check last few days fo my tank cost 9***.00)...it's costly too... |

Hi Saikumar,
Thanks brother.
I have seen this...Excellent one ...nice Dutch style....But not many like this.
Also see the top of the aqurium fully covered with light hoods.....don't know how many LED & how
many watts .....I am sure they are top quality LED's and they costly too. But no idea
how many LED lights are there !!
Cost is also a major factor Saikumar.....Hope lot of tank will come soon.......and then price also go down
like "CRS" shrimp........ |

yes guys the source of information is not good enough I have heard mixed results and many are cheap china made and not reliable at all.
some thing like ADA stuff would be worth at this stage but they cost bomb.
