|
|
Hi all,
Not very long back I chanced upon pictures of lava lamp which reminded me of the one that my dad got for me from the UK - which, unfortunately, I could hardly use before I lost the base!
Ever since then I have been hunting for a good quality one without much success.
I was wondering if there are fans of lava lamps on this forums?
For those who have not seen these beauties, here you go:
Does anyone know where from can I get these in India, if not Bangalore!
Amazon.com and ebay wont work!
Hope you enjoyed the lava lamp pictures....It is more fascinating to look at the real thing! :)
Regards,
Ashish |

Then try HomeStop or Shopperstop. I am sure that you would be getting that atleast in any off these shops. |

I also got one of the original ones from the UK shaped like a rocket blue and red. Its very cool. Its stil working with the original bulb 11 years later
Only the chrome and liquid colour have dulled a bit
All the lava lamps ive seen here are the glittery ones |

Why u say ebay won't work? I am buying stuffs from ebay for years now and its the best place to buy things which are usually not found easily

That is because:
1. All the links direct to only ONE seller who currently has only transparent liquid bottles.
2. They are all Chinese. I think it is going to be like the ones I have seen locally a couple of time. Disappointing!!!
If I cant get my hands on anything else, may have to try them out. have asked for the pictures of the actual stock he has. Let us see when shall he oblige me!
I could buy one from junglee.com whihc directs me to US website. Not sure if it would be very reliable. besides the product had many -ve reviews!!
*huh* Looks like the only option is to fly down to the UK! lol |

HEy just to give you guys a heads up the original lava lamp is made by a company called Mathmos in the UK so if you are getting a quality lamp get it from the UK from the mathmos website itself. Warning ! They are expensive ! The one I got cost about £60 then and is about £80-90 now !
I also bought an Airswitch lamp from them which is turned on and can be dimmed/brightened by waving your hand over it. Its very cool |
