Yajur IMO terrestrial moss will sustain for sometimes or possibly have very slow growth but it will gradually decay.
I have tried star moss before it was in my tank for almost 6 months and got slowly vanished. (Will grow pretty well in moist condition!!)
and the moss in the picture looks like star moss and fissidens to me |

I may be wrong - but it could be spaghnum moss or something similar - grows mainly on rock and tree trunk
Will not do well under water - dries up very quickly |

1st image looks like star moss but not sure.
2nd and 6th images are peat moss (spaghnum) I am very much sure.
