Hi folks,
Recently i picked up a small shoot of anubias (Don't exactly know the Species as the leaves are too small) from a LFS. I tied the same to a small piece or pebble and left it in sparingly planted tank which also Marselia sp, Rotala sp, Elantine Triandra and dwarf hair grass. All the other plants are doing well but not the Anubias.
Following are the specification of the plants tank-
1. Light - T5ho - 2.75 watt/gallon.
2. CO2 - Pressurized Co2.
3. Micro Ferts - Microsol B (For Fe).
Kindly advice why is the Anubias not growing after giving the above growing conditions for atleast 2 Months time period. |

| Anubias is a slow growing plant. When kept in a tank it will take a few weeks to acclimatize. After this it will start to grow. Have some patience. The plant you got was probably grown immersed, it will take some time to adapt and grow. Make sure you keep it in a shaded spot and don't move it around frequently in the tank. |

@sawantamey
You can do 2 things to increase the growth rate...
1) Take out the Anubias from your rock and place it on a driftwood piece.
In Rock also Anubias will grow but better on driftwood.
2) Anubias ia a low light plant.
It doesn't need intense light.
If you are giving intense light, move it to a shaded area of your tank. |

There won't be any critical issues but the moss can grow and cover the Anubias after some time.
Also I don't like them growing together in the same driftwood as it won't look nice. |
