I  was  recently  at  a  plant  nursery  and  found  them  selling  spaghnum  moss.  Spaghnum  peat  moss  is  used  in  aquariums  to  lower  the  ph.  Are  both  of  them  the  same?  I  mean  did  anyone  try  lowering  the  ph  using  spaghnum  moss?
If  both  of  them  can  be  used  for  lowering  the  ph  then  breeding  SA  cichlids  or  any  fish  that  requires  soft  water  will  become  a  whole  lot  easier.

REgular  sphagum  moss  is  what  they  use  on  those  creeper  sticks  to  hold  in  moisture,  it  wont  affect  the  pH  whereas  peat  moss  has  been  partially  degraded
