It's superb setup and taken lot of care in all respects, just want to know if Angels and neons can stay together ? till now I was knowing that neons are not safe in angels territory but in your tank they are very friendly.
Regards,
Bharat

Hi Bharat,
I have Discus and Angelfishes with neon tetras and Red Cherry Shrimps and see them all co-existing. I believe you should have no problems if you raise them together when they are juveniles than introducing adults.
Thanks

Hi Jason. Thanks. Saw your tank pics. Good start but I do not see a full length pic. You can share them in the forum. This is a great place to get a lot of feedback and suggestions to improve.

Here comes the 4th month update:
Been putting a lot of thought process on the tank and deciding on a good direction to take it further. I have now gone past the phase of just getting a variety of plants to grow on the tank and look for making things a little more organized.
Few visible updates:
- Made some very good progress with the hairgrass on the left side of my tank which made me remove all the marsilea carpet and bring in a uniform hairgrass foreground. A back breaking exercise but I just lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvve hairgrass
- Brought in more driftwood to attach ferns and moss. I like to have a tree effect on the left side. Just waiting for Weeping moss to go in there. The wood is not fully soaked. So had to support it with a few rocks. It will be removed in a while
- Did some massive trimming/uprooting on the left side. I like to propogate the red colored plants to the right give a better background to the driftwood. In the longer term, with lot of ferns on the wood I thought it would make a better combo.
As always looking fwd to everyone's comments. |

My SAEs had grown up and made a big mess of the tank. They ended up uprooting almost all my hairgrass. After 2 hrs of fighting I managed to get rid of them. But had to get all my driftwood out to catch them. So I thought, I might as well do a rearrangement . Here is the latest pic.
