 lightly  planted  30  gallon  tank  cycling  for  two  weeks  now
 
 substrate:  new  ada  amazonia  2
 filter:  diy  filter  with  ceramic  rings  and  filter  floss  (UV  to  be  added  later)
 
 lighting  3x  32W  cfl  bulbs,  
 
 pH  6.5-6.6
 
 not  too  high  budget  though   Crying or Very sad  
 visiting  kolathur  today  to  buy  plants
 
 i  have  a  mind  to  get  tiny  fish  that  stay  tiny,  so  i  can  have  a  big  school...  is  that  possible?  less  than  an  inch  mature...
 
 if  not,  then  hardy  schooling  fish  and  no  guppies  or  tetras,

 Hi  Aregias,  my  advise  is  to  go  for  neon  and  cardinal  tetras  [they  are  schooling  variety],  but  before  introducing  them  make  sure  u  have  some  good  algae  eaters  like  ottos  ,  siamese  algae  eater,  Amano  shrimps  like  stuff  ....

 i'm  worried  about  tetras  getting  sick...
 
 i  have  a  5  gallon  shrimp  tank  with  basic  red  shrimps...  3  of  which  seem  to  be  pregnant  Very Happy
 once  the  baby  shrimp  mature  i  will  move  the  adults  into  the  30G
 
 will  15  tiger  barbs  fit  into  a  30g?

 15  tiger  barbs  in  30  gallon  will  be  too  high.  also  tiger  barbs  will  devour  all  the  shrimps

 tetras  are  the  smallest  fish  that  grow  around  1  inch  (the  smaller  species)  u  can  also  go  for  galaxy  rasboras,  boraras,  or  the  native  barb  puntius  gelius  which  grows  to  about  1.5  inch  max,  horodandia  autokarali,  chela  dadiburjori,

 i  will  try  galaxy  rasboras...
 might  wait  for  java  moss  to  grow  and  cover  tank  bottom,  that  would  be  like  2-3  weeks   ROFL  
 
 so  many  fish,  i  want  them  all,  soon  i  will  have  no  space  for  tanks  Sad
