Hi, first of all hats off to the pioneers of this site!!! Awesome job there! 
I am Vinayak (age 29 yrs) from Amchi Mumbai  . Me and my wife are professional horticulturists/landscapers. We got into this hobby for therapeutic reasons initially around 8 months back (my wife is bedridden for the past 2 yrs due to slipped disc). Mr. Subodh Gore helped us a lot on planted tank  .
Now i have 3 tanks (4x2x1, 2x1.25x1.25, 1x0.75x0.5) and a bowl(12"). Will try to upload pics soon.
I really appreciate u guys and all the help and guidance shared on these forums.

Hi This is Nilo. I am new in this hobby. Earlier I kept fish when I was 5th grader. That was not at all serious fish keeping. Now I have started again after 20 long years. Currently I am living at Phoenix, USA. I am actually from Kolkata.
I had stated with 5 gallon tank (2 guppies, 2 ghost shrimp), then thought that it was really small to start with. Then I upgraded to 10 gallon within 2 months. Added 2 platies and 5 neon tetras.
Then I saw some awesome aquascape and immidiately thought of adding some plant. Currently I have the following plant but not so good aquascape. planted here and there. DIY CO2, liquid fert.
Aponogeton Crispus
Ceratophyllum Demersum
Green Mondo Grass
Hemianthus Callitrichoides
Hygrophila Difformis
Rotala Rotundifolia
Vesicularia Dubyana
Now I am thinking of creating a good aquascape in the tank. |

Hi guys
this is Sandeep from Pune. I am a Motion Graphics Designer, Animator, Editor and tattoo artist.
an aquarium hobbyist since a decade. I love planted tanks but I never tried one because I used to think that we need to put lot of money in it so all of my tank till now was plantless tanks.
2 week back I started working on my planted tank and while doing some research on aquatic life i came to know about this awsm forum.
I hope you guys will help me setting up my planted aquarium  |

hi i am sushil from mumbai
i work on a mearchant ship for maersk lines ..
i have baught a 6ft[L] 1.5ft[B] 1.5ft[H] tank about 8 months bck and have 2 baby catfish 4 small koi 4 sharks and a 1 inch sucker catfish ....
i am mostly out at sea so i hav added this fish for my sister to get use to the task of fishkeeping.. of which she is doing vry well [as only 2 molies 1 sucker n 2 small silver sharks are dead till date] http://indianaquariumhobbyist.com/community/modules/Forums/images/smiles/frown.gif
any ways by the time i will be home i will be setting up my tank fo 2 arowanas an abt 10 parrots..[kindly advise if its ok to do so and please giv some guidance on raising up arowana and parrots]
and ha as i wrk on ship i usually get a chance to visit china singapore mallaysia n africa , so can any one also advise what is the best thing to buy for my tank in these countries

 hello all
My name is Sergio Miranda from Mumbai/mahin
and am working as a sous chef
Dont know where to start but i always fancy a fish tank when i was small
from the time my grandmother used to take me to mahim church and after
that across the road there used to be a tropical fish shop which i used to go to
and ask the guy what is this fish what is that fish and believe me with all the colorful
fishes i always wanted 1 for my own
and now currently i have a tropical fish tank which is 2/12ft L by 1ft B by 16in H
and before this tank used to be a marine tank in which i kept 1 clown, 3 yellow tail damsel and 2 Four stripe damsel and had put in live rocks and sea anemone free from bandstand bandra and the water from mahim beach which took 4 days to clear up from my home made 4 stage external filter and will upload the pic soon
