Nope friends, I'm still working on it.
I've applied another coat of cement on the backside of the background where it will make it little uneven for making it easire to paste it to glass. Because of the rainy season it is still little damp and I will have to wait untill it dry it off.
Will definitely keep the thread updated. |

Well, there has been a week I was working on stitching the cracks. Finally, was able to manage fill them up and this time. I've applied 2 silicon tubes for pasting it and in addition to this, I've also applied extra on top and bottom sides to fill in the gap between background and glass. Hopefully this time it will not pop out. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Will post the pics once the silicon is cured and water is in tank. |

Thanks for the concern and comments.
Its been 4 days the background is in tank with water and it has not popped out yet. There have been 2 water changes as of now after it has been put into the tank. 1st was immediately next day with little cleaning up the surface area of the assembly. And 2nd after 2 days.
I've also put in an internal power filter for better circulation of water in the tank. Will post the pics, as it looks different due to massive cement coloring this time (although it is not getting off the background) |

| Thanks Adesh, it is good to know that now its sturdy. Is there any odour-smell of paint and cement and thermocol+Silicone. Becos, cement odour will remain in the pores of thermocol. |

Update:
Today, I've put a female FH after testing the pH, which was little high as 7.9, but i thought it is ok for sturdy FH who was in a pond before
She was doing well for 1 hour before I left for office.
Some snaps for your eyes.

Thank you friends.
After 4-5 days of testing; i've got rid of the FH and placed

2. Sand
3. Canister filter
4. Driftwood
5. Plants
A photo is taken with a good cam this time. And will post it ASAP. |
