Hi  Banglorians(Aquarist  from  Bangalore:I  thought  of  explaining  since  Bangalore  has  became  one  of  the  true  miniature  of  India  blessing  and  getting  blessed  by  people  from  different  parts  of  country.  So  the  term  I  used  is  for  all  who  is  residing  and  had  resided   in  Bangalore  not  just  the  real  banglorians  )  Very Happy   Very Happy   Very Happy  ,

 Here  is  my  question....
Do  we  need  a  chiller,  to  keep  the  temperature  low  ,to  get  the  lush  growth  for  moss  in  Bangalore  climate.
What  will  give  the  best  growth  for  moss......There  are  lot  of  people  here  who  is  growing  Moss  in  bulk....Please  share  your  experience.
I  am  having  some  moss  and  they  are  growing  as  well,  but  the  colour  of  the  moss  is  daaark  green  and  the  growth  is  slow  as  usual.

I  am  providing  2  watt  /  gallon  of  pll  light  for  8-9  hrs  and  1-2  bubble  per  second.  with  DIY(made  by  muneer(naturelover))  liquid  macro  and  micro  for  alternate  days.
Is  there  anything  else  I  need  to  do  for  better  growth  or  is  this  the  best  I  can  do

 Christmas  moss  in  the  tree
 back  ground  is  spike  moss,
 Fissidens  fontanus
 mini  pearl  moss,
 flame  moss  and
 peacock  moss

growth  was  at  a  pretty  fast  rate...  and  avg  temp  of  the  tank  was  around  30.

Co2  was  around  3  bubbles  per  sec  and  ferts  not  for  mosses  I  dosed  seachem  flourish  and  iron  for  the  other  plants  in  the  tank

Hi  jabba,  I  have  Christmas  moss  as  background...   did  not  do  well  till  the  temp  cooled  down  a  bit,  coincidentally  around  at  the  same  time  I  started  dosing  Glut  to  control  a  kind  of  algae.  so  I  cant  clearly  tell  what  triggered  the  growth.  I  don't  dose  fertz  or  co2  in  my  tank  and  lighting  is  1.8  W/G  CFL  bulbs..

Ya  even  for  me  Christmas  moss  growth  is  very  fast..  temp  at  this  time  around  26  to  27.  But  in  summer  when  temp  was  high  around  31C  in  aquarium  i  did  find  the  moss  growth  reduced  though  they  didn't  died.

No  Jabba,  I  don't  have  a  cooler,  or  fans...
what  I  meant  was  the  Bangalore  temp  came  down  with  the  monsoon,  and  I  had  started  the  glut  dosing  around  the  same  time..  so  I  dont  know  what  made  the  moss  grow..  whether  the  temp  or  the  glut  dosing.  Very Happy
 The  growth  was  phenomenon..  Cheering
