Whats  the  pest  control  method  thats  going  to  happen  nexus?

 1.  Cover  the  tank  top  well  so  that  nothing  would  drop  in.
 2.  If  they  are  going  to  be  using  some  strong  sprays/fumes  cut  off  your  air  pumps.

Shrimps  would  be  fine  this  way  for  a  couple  of  hours  easily.  Nothing  to  worry.
Start  back  the  air  pumps  after  the  pest  control  is  over  and  the  fumes/any  stench  has  settled.

not  clear  what  method  of  pest  control  you  are  going  do.
I  had  the  gel  method  along  with  non  toxic  spray(non  toxic  for  humans  and  not  for  shrimps  and  fishes).
every  time  I  get  it  done  I  ask  the  person  to  spray  away  from  my  tanks.

But  once  on  the  after  noon   of  2011  cricket  world  cup  India  Vs  Pakistan   the  PC  guy  with  an  eye  on  my  television  sprayed  on  a  container  with  lots  of  RCS  kept  away  to  give  away  to  few  of  hobbyist.  by  the  time  India  won  that  match  all  shrimps  were  dead   Sad

why  don't  you  ask  any  of  your  friends  who  has  a  spare  fish  tank
and  transfer  them  before  the  pest  control  guys  come  in

or  if  you  are  keeping  in  good  books  with  your  lfs  ask  him  to  keep  the  fishy  guys  for  a  few  days
