 Atul,
Where  are  you  from?  How  large  is  your  tank.  What  are  the  water  changing  frequency?  How  long  has  the  Oscar's  been  with  you?

As  of  now  do  a  massive  water  change.

 Regards,

 Hi  Nayak,

I  am  from  Amritsar  Punjab.  My  tank  size  is  3'x2'x2'  .  I  change  50%  water  after  every  1  or  1  and  half  week.  I  got  these  oscars  from  my  brother  in  law  last  week.

 Regards
 Atul

 Hi  Atul,

The  symptoms  sound  close  to  Columnaris.  Do  you  also  see  white  cotton  like  balls  floating  around?

I  faced  the  same  issues  with  my  rainbows.  Lost  a  couple  of  them  before  treatment.  But  I  am  a  noob  here  so  better  to  check  with  the  experts.

 Regards,
 Pankaj

 Hi  Pankaj,

fortunately  there  are  no  cotton  like  balls  floating  around  but  its  eyes  are  popped  out.

 Atul,
Did  you  change  the  water  around  80%  as  I  had  asked  earlier?  Clean  water  is  your  best  bet.  Can  you  post  some  pictures?  What  are  you  feeding  your  Oscars?  Where  are  you  from,  and  where  is  your  B-I-L  from?  Any  other  fishes  with  them?

 Pankaj,
Very  difficult  to  diagnose  fish  diseases  only  from  description  and  without  proper  pictures.  So  better  we  refrain  from  naming  one.

 Regards,

 1)Do  regular  Water  Changes(25-40%)
 2)  Add  aquarium  salt  at  1tbs  per  5  gallons  of  water.replace  it  after  every  water  change..
3)Treat  with  Phenoxethol  in  some  cases  is  effective.

by  the  way  how  is   behavior  of  the  fish?

I  have  doubts  that  your  filtration  is  not  adequate  or  mature  or  both  and  your  stocking  density  is  way  out  of  limit.Oscars  are  messy  eaters  and  pollute  the  tank  very  fast.  Of  all  the  reasons  causing  popeye,  poor  water  quality  is  the  primary  culprit.  Nayak  has  correctly  pointed  out  all  your  shortcomings  and  I  sincerely  believe  that  you  have  already  performed  the  prescribed  water  change.
If  you  really  want  your  oscars  or  for  that  matter  any  fish,  to  be  healthy  and  have  a  long  life,  give  them  a  lot  of  room, good  filtration   and  perform  your  water  changes  more  frequently.A  few  healthy  fishes  in  a  big  tank  look  far  better  than  an  overcrowded  tank  of  diseased  ones.

 Hi  nayak,

I  changed  the  water  as  you  have  suggested.  I  am  feeding  pallette  food  and  frozen  dried  shrimp  to  oscar.  As  mentioned  in  earlier  post  i  am  from  Amritsar(Punjab).  and  i  could  not  get  what  is  B-I-L?  Two  silver  dollars  are  there  with  oscars.  See  the  pictures  below.

 Hi  Swarnendu,

I  am  using  internal  sponge  filter  and  i  use  to  remove  fish  waste  after  every  week.  as  i  have  written  in  previous  post,  i  got  these  fish  last  week  so,  i  suspect  that  this  oscar  was  already  sick  before  it  came  to  me.

 Hi  Atul,

I  am  so  sorry  for  your  fish.  Hope  it  will  recover  soon.  Please  check  the  filtration  too.
Please  don't  mind  ,  but  update  your  location  in  your  profile,  So  that  near  by  if  any  hobbyist  stays  can  help  you  .

I  am  not  an  expert  on  Oscars,  but  from  the  pics,  it  looks  quite  similar  to  the  hole  in  the  head  disease  to  me--as  head,  gill  area  and  lateral  line  are  affected.

 Lets  wait  for  the  experts.
