Nice  fishes,  but  dont  you  think  their  beauty  will  be  more  visible  if   remove  the  colourful  background
and  have  a  plain  or  a  rocky  background
 Update  your  location  please.
Is  Renju  and  Acronym  for  Renjini  or  ranjit.   If  former   then  we  have  3  female  members.
 (Cherry,  Girlcookart)  pls  note.

 Hi  Renju,

as  suggested  background  can  be  better.

also  you  may  have  to  provide  more  hiding  space  going  forward,  as  they  grow  big  and  settle  they  will  form  territory  and  will  defend  the  same.

Dolphin  hap  is  peaceful  however  you  may  have  challenge  with  yellow  lab  and  blue  pindani.

 Cheers,
 Binesh

It's  not  a  short  form  for  anything.  My  name  is  just  Renju..  I've  been  searching  around  for  a  good  dark  background  but  havent  found  one  which  i  particularly  like..  I  just  saw  a  couple  of  the  DIY  3D  backgrounds  on  this  forum..  Thinking  of  making  one  once  i  locate  all  the  necessary  stuff..

Hi  Binesh..  In  addition  to  the  background  i'm  planning  to  upgrade  to  a  much  larger  tank  in  around  6  months..  THat  should  give  the  haps  enough  space..  So  far  theres  no  problem  with  any  of  the  fish..  Have  had  them  for  a  couple  of  months  now..  Onyl  the  pindanis  chase  each  other  around  thats  it..

To  begin  with  as  a  starter..  its  a  nice  start..  As  you  proceed,a  white  sand  with  some  rock  work  would  look  more  good..
 All  the  best

6  ft  would  give  all  of  them  more  than  enough  space  to  move  around,  giving  hiding  space  with  rock  is  always  good,  not  just  keeping  aggression  in  check  and  then  if  you  have  few  of  the  similar  strains  the  aggression  is  always  distributed  which  seems  to  be  the  case  with  your  pindanis   Thumb Up

you  can  also  add  gravel  with  coral  chips  mixed  (some  lfs  stock  it  specially  for  cichlid  tanks),  good  for  them  as  they  need  a  little  higher  PH  and  coral  chip  helps.

 cheers,
 Binesh

The  hood  is  very  nice..as  suggested  by  others,  fiddle  around  with  the  looks  of  the  tank.  you  have  the  space  to

Go  for  a  plain  blue  or  black  background  with  crushed  coral  sand  and  loads  of  hollow  white  rocks.....  you  can  also  make  DIY  PVC  towers  with  holes......  your  fishes  will  be  happy  and  show  more  better  colours......

Change  the  background,  decor  and  substrate.  Give  them  sand,  they  love  to  dig  and  re-arrange...

 Hi  Renju7,

Good  start....but  try  to  bring  a  natural  look.  Others  are  already  suggested  some.

Try  as  much  as  you  can  do.
