Thanks  for  the  response  guys.  I  got  valuable  insight  from  female  members  which  is  really  eye  opening.  Ultimately  all  she  wants  is  more  quality  time  from  me.  Musing  on  this,  I  have  realised  that  I  have  indeed  been  neglecting  her.  Will  try  to  rectify  this.
 special  thanks  to  @girlcookart

I  think  she  just  wants  to  spend  more  time  with  you.  So  take  her  out,  shower  her  with  affection  and  show  her  you  truly  care(dont  make  it  a  one  time  thing!).  Remind  her  in  ways  that  fish  keeping  is  a  hobby  and  apologise  for  neglecting  her  (cull  the  male  ego, please!).  When  it  comes  to  spending  money,  discuss  your  passion  for  your  aquariums  and  make  her  understand  that  like  any  pets,  fish  and  their  environment  too  require  care  and  that  costs  money.

Make  a  monthly  budget  plan  on  how  much  you  can  afford  to  spend  on  your  hobby, and  take  her  suggestions  during  the  planning.Negotiate  and  be  understanding  as  much  as  you  want  to  be  understood.  No  woman  wants  her  hubby  to  be  a  bum,  and  I  dont  think  she  is  against  your  hobby  but  only  that  it  is  getting  too  much  out  of  control,  and  taking  too  much  of  your  time.  Hope  this  suggestion  helps.

Don't  mean  to  be  rude,  but  what  is  the  purpose  of  this  post?
Why  do  you  have  to  depend  on  the  views  here  to  understand  your  wife?  No  offence,  but  while  I  agree  to  Girlcookart's  view,  I  believe  she  has  stated  the  obvious.  In  the  end  what  matters  is  what  your  wife  feels/wants.  She  may  not  resonate  the  views  on  this  forum,  there  may  be  something  else  bothering  her.
Good  that  you  want  to  rectify  things,  but  don't  assume,  go  talk  to  her.

On  a  lighter  note,  keep  only  fast  moving  fishes  in  your  aquarium.   That  would  solve  90%  of  your  problems.   ROFL

Back  to  the  topic,  I  try  to  balance  my  hobby  with  the  time  I  spend  with  my  family  (without  doubt  family  being  the  most  important  thing).  I  guess  I  m  fortunate  enough  to  have  a  wife  who  knows  my  passion  for  fishes  and  never  complains.

 Cheers

That's  great  buddy,  that's  the  first  step  to  harmony  in  your  home...trust  me!

As  a  husband  and  a  father  sharing  my  home  space  with  10  not  so  small  tanks,  I  can  boldly  tell  you  that...you  give  your  wife  her  space,  she  will  give  you  yours.
