Guys  who  are  venturing  out  for  the  first  time,  make  sure  to  carry  these  -

 1.  A  first  aid  kit.  At  least  one  per  car
 2.  Carry  bags  for  things  you  plan  to  bring  back
 3.  Nets,  traps
 4.  Covers  and  rubber  bands
 5.  Preventive  medication  for  ailments  you  are  prone  to
 6.  Old  newspapers  (best  way  to  bring  back  plants)
 7.  A  pocket  knife  and  torch

 Few  dos  and  donts

 *  Safety  first.  The  most  important  thing.  Be  it  driving,  getting  into  the  water  etc
 *  Plan  on  what  you  want  to  bring  back.
 *  Dont  bring  fishes  if  you  cannot  accommodate  them  as  on  end  of  trip  day
 *  Fix  a  limit  on  size  of  fishes  you  can  keep
 *  Always  carry  contact  numbers  of  your  family  members
 *  Always  wear  footwear.  Dont  remove  them  when  you  get  into  the  water

Have  a  safe  trip   Thumb Up

Hello  Team,  First  of  all  have  a  happy  and  a  safe  Expedition.

I  am  new  to  fish  keeping,  it  is  nice  to  see  you  guy  take  the  time  and  get-together  just  for  your  love  towards  fish.

I  was  wondering  how  you  manage  to  bring  back  fish  in  covers,  will  it  not  need  oxygen.  I  intend  to  bring  back  fish  for  my  native  place  which  is  250  odd  KM  away  form  Bangalore,  should  I  do  it?  If  yes  how  should  I  do  it.

 Thanks  in  advance.

 Mithun,

Less  bioload  in  the  plastic  covers,  regular  water  changes  every  4  hrs,  keep  the  packets  cool  and  you  can  transport  fishes  from  250Kms  away.

Else  fill  the  packets  with  Oxygen  and  travel  confidently  for  10  Hrs.  But  the  rest  of  the  points  remain  the  same.  Less  bioload  and  cool  packets.

 Guys,

Nets.  I  have  a  drag  net,  and  a  couple  of  handnets.  Kindly  get  all  the  types  of  nets  you  can  get  your  hands  on.  Even  mosquito  nets  will  help.  Carry  your  own  rubber  bands  and  plastic  covers  to  carry  the  fish  you  might  want  to  bring  back.

 Anyone  have  stress  coat?

Nikhil,  Do  you  have  a  photography  tank?

let's  have  fun!!!  Very Happy   Very Happy

 Regards,
