 Hello,

I  use  the  the  chinese  10W  LED  flood  light  (6500K)  for  my  8  gallon  nano  shrimp  tank.  I  have  DHG  and  HC  in  them  and  both  are  growing  very  well  with  8  hours  of  photo  period  everyday.

The  only  problem  is  that,  the  light  does  not  reach  near  the  backside  of  the  tank  since  it  is  placed  quite  close  to  the  tank  surface.

Regarding  the  fertilizer  regime,  I  Dose  macro  and  seachem  micro  every  alternate  day  starting  monday  until  friday  and  change  50%  water  on  sunday.

 Regards,
 MK

 Hi,

I  did  not  make  any  fancy  mounts  for  this.  I  just  have  2  thin  pieces  of  wood  on  top  of  the  tank  and  the  LED  is  placed  on  top  of  that.  Any  higher  than  that,  the  intensity  of  light  that  reached  the  bottom  of  the  tank  was  getting  reduced  dramatically.  This  setup  has  its  dis.adv.  as  mentioned  before  due  to  its  close  proximity  to  tank  surface  not  enough  light  spread  is  present  and  as  a  result  the  back  ground  plants  do  not  receive  enough  light.

I  do  not  have  a  snap  of  it  yet,  But  would  definitely  post  it  tonite.  DHG  is  dwarf  hair  grass.  It  has  been  about  a  month  now  with  the  led  setup.I  also  use  a  DIY  Co2  for  this  one.

This  is  the  mazarra  P  series  which  is  running  on  my  reef  tank

The  advantage  of  mazarra  is  each  module  consists  of  4  channels  which  can  be  controlled  seperately,  so  that  we  can  achive  kelvin  temp  from  6000  kelvin  to  24000  kelvin.
And  a  controller  can  control  upto  16  modules  and  the  best  part  is  all  the  modules  are  controlled  by  the  controller  via  wifi.
And  there  are  2  program's  each  containing  8  slots,  and  for  each  slot  we  can  set  the  time  and  intensity  for  each  channels.  After  setting  the  intesities  and  time  for  each  slot,  you  don't  need  to  worry  abt  anything
In  my  setting  the  light  slowly  start  to  rampup  starting  at  9  am  and  reaches  100%  at  12  and  stays  there  for  3  hours  and  slowly  the  cool  whites  dim  giving  a  18000  kelvin  to  20000  kelvin  in  the  evening  and  slowly  ramps  down  and  then  at  10  pm  the  blues  will  be  1%  thus  giving  a  moonlight  simulation  and  again  the  same  process  starts.
