I  am  planning  to  add  a  18  W  PLL  to  my  setup.  I  have  never  used  a  PLL  before  and  want  to  know  if  this  ballast  can  be  used  for  my  purpose.
 http://www.quizelectronics.com/elecrtonic-ballast-for-cfl.asp
 Look  at  the  product   -  2  x  7-11w/13-18w  2Pin

If  yes,  are  QUIZ  electronics  products  good?  I  have  never  heard  of  this  company  but  I  checked  in  almost  all  shops  in  my  vicinity  and  they  only  keep  ballasts  from  Quiz  and  they  vouch  for  its  quality.

If  no,  what  ballast  should  I  ask  for  and  which  company?  I  will  try  to  source  it  from  shops  near  my  office.

 I  already  have  a  18  W  PLL  and  4  pin  holder.

You  can  opt  for  Philips  Electronic  Ballast  available  commonly  in  any  electrical  shops.

Yeah  I  checked  for  it  but  the  ones  available  were  for  36W  (which  I  believe  is  the  max  capacity  right??)...As  per  the  shopkeeper  that  will  work  for  a  18W  but  may  not  give  a  long  life..

Do  we  get  Philips  18W  ballast  or  can  I  just  use  the  36  W  one?
