3  plants  if  you  are  using  HC,  2  if  you  are  leaving  the  foreground  bare.

 Ahhh..now  I  understand  Mortis  :D

 Update  time.
At  last  the  desired  plants  had  arrived  and  I  took  out  the  filler  plants.  Have  not  posted  the  tank  with  filler  plants  as  I  was  lazy.  Rather  I  had  too  much  work.

Now  that  the  planting  has  been  completed  with  actual  plants,  so  the  final  flora  list  is  some  what  like  this,  Eleocharis  Parvula,  Hemianthus  Callitrichoides  Cuba,  Vesicularia  Montagnei,  Utiricularia  Gramminifolia,  Glossostigma  Diandrum,  Elatine  Tiandra  -  came  in  as  contaminant  with  the  Diandrum,  but  used  it  as  a  loving  gift

Did  not  have  the  courage  to  use,  Staurogene  Sp.  Tropica,  Eriocaulon  Breviscapum,  Ammania  Sp.  Bonsai,  Mirsilea  hirsuta,  albeit  it  had  started  giving  in  new  shoots  in  a  matter  of  3  day  of  planting.  And  I  think  it  was  ready  to  grow  small.  Sadly,  I  did  not  have  the  courage  to  go  out  of  the  way.  You  can  see  some  of  these  plants  floating  on  top  as  I  had  plonked  them  out  while  planting  the  automatic  choices.  I  want  to  explore  but  with  the  competition  so  close,  I  believe  I  did  the  right  thing

And  I  did  not  hunt  that  severely  for  Cladophora  Aegagropila  and  Mirsilia  Minuta.  But  at  the  same  time  did  not  find  them  easily  also.  So  they  were  not  used.

Now  about  the  further  development  post  planting,  there  have  been  some  HC  melt,  most  of  it  is  doing  good  though,  EP  have  stared  giving  out  new  shoots  every  where  I  have  planted  it.  Rest  all  is  settling  in  I  believe,  yet  to  see  any  noticeable  new  growth  but  it  seems  that  they  are  fine  as  I  do  not  see  any  deterioration  since  planted.  G  Diandrum  has  just  been  planted  yesterday  night,  it  looks  fine  as  of  now.

The  best  thing  as  of  now,  after  4  days  of  planting  and  water  filling,  0  algae  in  the  tank.  I  am  keeping  a  very  tight  watch  on  this  as  plant  biomass  is  extremely  low  and  1  wrong  step  will  induce  algae.

Not  a  great  leap  or  anything  but  just  a  pic  to  document  the  final  post  planting  look.

 Hi  Dev,

 looks  nice.

Can't  you  change  the  blue  pipe  !!  It  looks  very  odd.  I  think  white  color  pipe  will  look  better.

 Thank  you  Abhishankar.

Today,  all  seems  fine.  So  far  so  good.  Keeping  my  fingers  and  toes  crossed,  keeping  a  strong  vigil  and  changing  about  40  ltrs  of  water  everyday.  I  think  next  update  will  be  after  a  fortnight.  Very Happy

How  are  you  faring?  can  we  see  your  tanks's  pictures  now?  I  read  their  conditions  on  the  net,  there  is  definately  professional  photography  required  to  take  a  picture.  especialy  the  meaning  "  GET  INTO  THE  TEETH  OF  IT"  Smile

It  has  only  been  a  week,  Abhishankar.  Wait  for  another  week  please.   Chuckle

Okay  Garothmaan,  here  is  a  quick  update.   Smile

Tank  health  is  satisfactory.  40  ltr  of  water  change  daily,  extreme  high  Co2,  daily  dosing  and  controlled  HIGH  lighting  is  keeping  everything  in  a  nice  shade  of  green.  Zero  algae.  Glosso  Diandrum  have  started  giving  out  runners.  Only  stagnant  plant  was  UG,  I  have  hard  water  with  high  TDS  so  it  is  not  liking  it.  But  some  3-4  days  back  I  saw  new  UG  leaves  raising  their  head.  Have  shifted  to  much  softer  water  from  today  onwards,  water  filtered  thru  RO  and  mixed  with  Tap  water   in  a  ratio  of  2:1  and  then  filtered  through  Kattappa  leaves.

No  pain  no  gain  Garothmaan.  Aquascaping  is  serious  business.  So  much  competition,  what  was  considered  as  a  mind  blowing  tank  yesterday,  is  just  a  well  made  tank  today.  So,  it  is  required  to  take  care  of  the  tanks  like  you  will  take  care  of  your  1  month  old  baby.   :thumb:

Forgot  to  add,  fishes  will  come  in  last,  maybe  after  2  ore  months.

From  what  I  have  heard  UG  needs  to  be  shaded  in  the  first  1-2  weeks  and  after  that  high  light  and  high  CO2.  UG  is  really  tricky  plant  to  grow.  I  have  not  had  success  with  it  so  far  growing  it  submersed  or  emerged  or  floating.  It  took  a  while  to  settle  down  the  took  off  great  for  a  bit  and  then  died  off  completely  over  2  days.  If  you  are  successful  Id  appreciate  any  tips  you  could  give.

Also  where  did  you  get  your  plants  from  ?  PM  or  post  here.  Also  would  appreciate  the  cost  of  UG  if  possible.
