That's  a  female  fire  red.  That's  why  it  has  such  good  color.
 But  truly  beautiful  Smile

Thanks  Srab,  well  I  actually  I  never  feed  them  they  just  graze  the  algae  in  the  tank.

Thanks  Doc,  am  sure  these  are  RCS  as  I  never  bought  other  grade  shrimps  apart  from  CRS.  These  guys  have  bred  over  the  years.  Also  females  have  saddles  on  top  of  the  body  but  male  doesnt.

Hey  Navneeth,  thats  a  male  for  sure  as  its  missing  saddle  on  top  of  its  body,  I  have  females  more  darker  and  redder  than  these.  I  think  after  breeding  RCS  since  more  than  a  year  luckily  I  see  many  fire  red.  Is  that  possible  ?  All  I  remember  picking  few  RCS  from  a  friend  an  year  or  two  back     Smile

They're  fire  reds  for  sure.  Mine  are  like  that  as  well.  But  it  is  a  female.  The  saddle  grows  below  that  fat  portion  behind  is  her  saddle,  males  don't  have  this  and  they  usually  can't  get  such  bright  colors  as  females  get  the  dominant  color.  I'm  very  sure  about  it.

Thanks  Navneeth  for  the  clarification,  I  changed  the  name  of  the  thread  Smile  But  they  are  not  fire  reds  for  sure  as  I  have  seen  them  personally.

Yes  Sir,  I  did  change  some  plants  replaced  them  with  some  fast  growing  ones.  I  have  used  Glossostigma  Elatinodes  as  a  carpet.

Thanks  Senthil.  Well  I  was  never  able  to  control  BBA  naturally  despite  of  good  water  circulation,  proper  CO2,  maintained  light  schedule  and  proper  fertilization  so  took  the  help  of  Glutaraldehyde.  I  dose  Macro  and  Micro  on  alternate  days  3  times  a  week.  My  mixing  recipe  is  KNO3=250gms,  KH2PO4=8gms  and  K2SO4=110gms  all  mixed  in  a  5L  Jerkin  and  disposed  at  200ml.  This  recipe  gives  me  Nitrate  level  of  17ppm,  Potassium  level  of  17ppm  and  Phosphate  level  of  0.6ppm.

For  Micro  I  mix  69gms  in  1l  and  dose  40ml  on  alternate  days  3  times  a  week  which  gives  an  iron  ppm  of  about  0.5.

 Hi  Ruchit  ...

I  was  wondering  isnt  0.5ppm  iron  a  lot.  PMDD  suggests  0.1  and  EI  in  the  range  of  0.2  ~  0.5.  Anyhow  if  the  plants  are  doing  good  I  assume  it  should  be  ok.  How  do  you  disperse  your  CO2,  usually  CO2  can  be  the  limiting  factor  in  a  well  dosed  and  lighted  aquarium  resulting  in  algae  specially  BBA.

 Regards,
 Abhishek

Yes  Abhishek  I  keep  my  iron  high  due  to  the  red  plants  I  have.  I  used  to  keep  at  .2ppm  earlier  and  most  of  the  red  plants  stayed  green.  I  use  2  reactors  and  my  CO2  runs  24*7  with  the  indicator  showing  green  all  the  time.
