Time for an update with a FTS(as its changed from what I submitted to IAPLC)
I was tired looking at the flat green carpet of HC, so decided to replace it with some stems. So far with the monsoon everythings going pretty well. I also have lots of algae, result of disturbing the substrate while replacing plants.
BTW, I just planted all the stems in groups without having a determined final scape in mind. I might move them around later
added these plants a little over a week ago.
I have added 2 more T5s to increase the light. Now a total of 100w.
I got it in emersed state like this..
Ammania sp. bonsai
finally got some proper e.parvula
rotala macrandra mini
macrandra varigated, you can see the transition from old growth to new
some native collected plants, need ID for these
this one looks deceptively similar to HC, but this is some native collected plant. eager to grow this one..
I also had these myriophylum aquaticum. I always wondered how they looked in submerged conditions, when they grew I dint like them much so replaced them. And they were growing too fast and shading some plants around them.
a couple of pearling shots..
ludwigia glandulosa, growing slowly transforming from submerged to emersed state
HC mound upclose, you can see lots of algae growing within HC, very difficult to erradicate this...
