Hello Gentlemen, at last after 7 months got the time and energy to start my tank I wanted for long.
It was a child dream to get a nice tank and journal started together.
On my 100th post I though Yes I must start a journal
On 500th thought I must start one
on 1000th I thought... but the 2000th is what looks like a lucky number
Fine lesser bhashan then folks.
Firstly the honorary thanks giving, .
Thanks to Dr. who lend me his ADA, the plant sellers down in Rezimental bazaar who spared me a healthy bunch, Sunny Hz for lending me his caulk gun for silicon, my cousin who willfully parted away with his tank and of-course the ever growing inspirational janta of IAH... and no thanks to the mosquitoes that irritated me throughout the scape.
And Here We Go!
Specs Tank Size- 2ft/1ft/1ft
Llights- 2 X36W Osram Dulux(plan to get some LEDs soon), aluminum reflectors fitted
Filter- Mini one, forgot the name some 300l/h might change if it doesnt work
CO2- 9Kg, Dual guage-Dual stage, precision valve fitted.
fertz- of-course EI it will be.
(plan to add these on to timer, yet to dismantle my 3ft)
Substrate- Amazonia 2, powersand
Plants- let me find the names(will update), plan to get some from Triv, lets see how it goes.
Stand- old Teapoy
Water- using muncipal water( plan to do mineral water from next WC)
Camera- Sony S750
The 2/1/1( new front glass )
The ADA amzazonia 2 that was waiting packed for 7 months, incl power sand
The first bag in, I suppose 3l?(mix of amazonia and power)
The second bag in.
All leveled up with the leveling tool.
Why pour water on the cover when you can pour inside it
Semi filled and ready for planting
Starting of with doubling the plants- simple-effective-strategy to double your plants in seconds!!
The spread
The comfy working position(this room needs some proper cleaning now)
The tank was intentionally put at a lower position rather than a stand so that I can enjoy scaping and adjust comfortably(araaam sey). No back breaking and no knee paining
Tools used
P.S. that is a Soldering tweezer not the planting kind, so please dont ask me again
Tada, gonna keep it like this for few days, so that the light intensity is ultra high. Will update soon.
Nice to be back here, comments welcome, critics too... but please dont try to draw on my pictures and point the geometrys- I get humanely insulted. (dont say I dint warn you)
Thank you
Happy Vinayaka Chathurthi in advance!

Use only 0ne 36W light otherwise you are going to have an algae problem
You surely have a valid point, thank you. But these are like 6months old and not that bright as new ones.
If I do see algae I will reduce. Also no visible algae on glass so just concerned if I have enough light.
Thanks Ruchit. That is the idea too, try some which I never kept.
Guys please bear with me for this week, did some planting and uprooting so dull pic again.
Added HC to foreground today so carpet countdown starts.
Still pending is CO2 which might be fixed next week, lights still bursting for 7-8hrs a day
Cheers!
