A  tank  this  size  needs  braces  at  the  bottom  as  well...just  as  an  additional  safety  measure.  Can  you  ask  your  'tankwala'  what  mm  glass  he  has  used  to  make  this  tank?  I  can  bet  you,  he  hasn't  used  the  required  thickness.

Wish  they  discussed  important  shit  like  this  in  your  MaM's  instead  of  discussing  how  to  make  your  own  hodge  podge  ferts  and  Glut  and  whatnot  just  to  save  20-30rs...

 Wow...   Smile   Cheer   Cheer

This  going  to  be  very  good  home  for  your  goldies...  Really  superb.

Do  you  have  planned  any  scape  that  you  are  going  to  make  for  this  goldies  tank?

 Big  round  pebbles/  Driftwood..  etc..

What's  going  to  be  the  filtration  for  this  tank?  Your  DIY  filter?

Would  wait  for  this  tank  to  be  set-up..

Congrats  once  again...   Clapping   Clapping   Clapping   Clapping     I  fell  very  happy...

Ya  right...   Sad   Thanks  for  cautioning

the  glass  is  10  mm  and  he  said  he  has  made  lots  of  big  tanks  without  mishaps.  I  am  filling  the  water  on  1/4  basis  after  every  2  days  as  per  instructions.

My  thought  here  is  that  10  mm  is  borderline  for  tank  of  this  capacity.  Also  consider  the  weight  of  your  tank.  When  you  load  it  up  with  large  smooth  rocks,  the  weight  is  going  to  be  a  lot  more.

 Conservatively:
Aquarium  will  be  about  550  liters.  INcluding  weight  of  glass  it  should  be  close  to  600  Kgs.
 +  gravel  ~  50  kgs
 +  rocks  ~  15  kgs
 +  lid/light/filter/filter  media  ~  10  kgs

This  is  ~  700  kgs.  Untouched  this  will  hold  but  any  impact  with  this  much  pressure  may  result  in  cracking.  Will  let  experts  here  comment  based  on  experience  with  this  size  of  aquarium.

Congratulations!!  Thumb Up  check  where  you  put  the  tank  too,  uneven  base  may  cause  crack.

 All  the  very  best

Thanks  Sai.  this  will  be  the  permanent  place  for  the  tank.  Tell  me...  this  thermocol  which  I  have  placed  below  is  suitable.  there  are  2  X  3ft.

Thanks  all  of  you  for  the  encouragement  God  Bless  Thumbs Up   Cheer

oh  ok.  If  the  ground  is  flat,  the  that  should  be  fine.  And  even  thinner  thermocol  also  would  have  sufficed,  this  thickness  is  ok,  dont  go  for  fatter  ones.  Just  take  care  that  you  can  do  water  changes  by  siphon,  as  your  tank  is  on  floor.
And  I  think,  with  this  your  must  be  the  biggest  goldfish  tank  on  forum  Very Happy
