 Hello!
Sharing  a  few  pictures  of  my  Frontosas  and  Leleupi.
Its  a  colony  of  7  fronts,  alpha  male  around  7-8  inches  now  and  rest  of  the  colony  sized  in  heirarchy,  the  smallest  Frontosa  being  around  3  inches.
They  by  now  have  eaten  up  around  3-4  Leleupies  and  a  pair  of  Brichardi.  Still  have  1  adult  Leleupi  remaining,  n  that  lil  boy  has  lot  of  character  and  none  of  the  Frontosa  try  to  bother  him.
Have  also  added  4  Silver  Dollars  as  dithers.

 Hello  Fariz,

The  dimensions  of  this  tank  are  36"x18"x24".
As  juveniles  at  around  1  inch  size,  they  were  in  24"x12"12"  tank.  then  upgraded  to  3  feet  tank.
I  used  to  do  10-15%  water  change  daily.  Never  had  any  problems  with  it  health.  But  once  it  reaches  a  considerable  size  after  say  2  years  of  age,  they  start  getting  very  aggressive  and  demand  a  much  bigger  tank.
Finally  had  to  give  them  off  for  good  which  not  very  easy  as  you  will  certainly  get  attaches  to  them!
My  advice  to  you  will  be  to  get  them  only  if  u  can  get  a  minimum  of  6  feet  tank  for  them.

 Good  luck!

 Hi  Imran,

Looks  really  nice  in  the  video.
I  agree  with  Fariz  too  ,  you  will  have  to  upgrade  soon  to  a  bigger  tank,  considering  the  size  they  would  attain  and  the  bioload  that  is  going  to  hit  your  tank.
 Till  then........great  going  !!!!

 Thank  you  Vinod!
As  I  couldn't  upgrade  to  a  bigger  tank,  I've  already  given  4  of  them  to  a  friend  and  a  couple  of  them  I  did  off.  They  surly  deserve  a  monster  tank.

 Thanks  a  lot  Imran,

Was  planing  to  go  for  a  4  ft  tank  with  a  canister  filter  and  6  to  8  fronts.  but  thanks  to  your  advice,  will  save  up  and  get  the  bigger  tank.  What  filtration  and  lighting  where  you  using  in  your  tank?

Will  it  be  OK  if  i  use  2  canister  filter  or  is  it  better  to  use  a  sump?

 Thanks  and  regards,

 Fariz

 Welcome  Fariz.

There  was  one  over  head  filter  with  around  7-800  l/hr  pump,  had  filter  sponge  pads,  ceramic  rings  and  Seachem  Purigen  as  filter  media.  One  power  head  for  aeration  and  water  movement.
 No  canisters  nothing.
But,  daily  10  to  15%  water  change  and  good  food  like  Hikari,  NLS,  Ocean  Nutrition,  Prodac  and  very  rare  treats  of  live  worms.

Lighting  was  regular  blue  and  white  tubes  which  I  later  changed  to  a  10W  LED.

I  would  suggest  you  to  get  around  two  dozen  fronts  prefably  ikola  or  Zaire  variant  depending  on  what  you  like  and  later  remove  extra  males  and  keep  one  male  or  may  be  two  and  7-8  females.

 :)

 Nice,  they  look  healthy.  Clapping
As  you  already  know  they  need  bigger  tank  as  they  grow  up.
I  am  presuming  your  water  is  hard  enough.

 Thanks  Sandeep.

I  haven't  tested  my  water  but  its  well  water  received  here  in  mumbai  via  water  tankers.  There  is  plenty  of  crushed  coral  in  there  to  keep  the  pH  up.  The  white  calcium  (I  think  its  calcium,  I  may  be  wrong)  deposits  /  strains  suggest  that  the  water  is  hard  enough.

I  visited  your  website  and  it's  good  source  of  information.  I  would  be  glad  of  you  can  feature  some  of  the  pics  of  my  Frontosa  in  the  gallery  as  well.
