|

Hi,
I want to purchase a Co2 regulator with solenoid for my tank. I am unsure whether to purchase the ISTA Co2 regulator with inbuilt solenoid or the Yamato regulator with a separate solenoid.
There is a price difference but the main matter is of longevity and reliability. My only problem is that i have to purchase this online as it is not available readily in my city. |

Which city you live in ?
I guess both have their pros and cons and as long as they are working as expected, it should be fine.
Ista will be compact in setup where as Yamato+needle valve+soenoid would be a huge to look at. Separate regulator, valve and solenoid would allow you to replace the only part which goes bad , in case.
I would purchase Ista online for ease of everything and Yamato++, if from shop directly (done this already since I could buy directly from shop). |

I would go with ISTA. I am a newbee to co2, so initially I got a Yamato with solenoid. I realized that it needed some work in keeping the flow constant and daily checking, then i switched to ISTA and it been like just set it up and no worries. Its also more compact and sleek compared to Yamato setup. |

Did you not use Needle Valve along with? That is the one which allows you to control the BPS minutely. |

What are the kits required to test the water during the initial stages of setting up an aquascape? |
