Just wanted to share that aquaswild.com showed fantastic customer support by reshipping the entire list of plants completely free of cost. The original shipment carried by Bluedart was delayed due to hudhud, so all the plants either melted or disintegrated. It was hardly their fault. On emailing them and without even asking for it they sent all the 4 types (red cabomba, Brazilian pennywort, amazon frogbit and water lettuce) once again and threw in a free bunch of Echinodoras. I am really touched by this gesture.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good online supplier at unbeatable prices.

Happy for you
Not specific to these sellers, but just assume what if there are 100 such bad shipments happening-you really think it ll be a long term profit model for an entity to keep reimbursing?
They can do it max for first 5-10 hobbyists.
The crux is, courier services are unreliablly-bad, they can pull down any over time, so judge smart

Dear Yogeek,
Thanks for helping me come back on IAH again.
I agree that we didn't replace your plants, but your accusation that we sent you rotten plants was what caught my goat. If you have read the testimonials clearly, you would have realized that we have always replaced dead plants depending on the value. A 100-150 plant cannot be replaced alone when we incur shipping charges more than that. We normally ship it along with the customer's next order (for a small replacement only). The plants you ordered were 5 species of which you had an issue with 2. Vallisneria is a rosette plant which is grown immersed and tends to melt in transit. All you have to do is trim all the leaves 1" above the rosette and plant them. New leaves will grow in 2-3 days.
Aquaswild did a good job with shipping and charged you lesser. We are happy. Frankly speaking, we do what we can to ensure that the customer is not short-changed. There are errors sometimes, from our side and sometimes by the logisitics company (India Post, DTDC, BlueDart, DHL, you name it). What comes under logistic issues are totally not under our control.
This is a mail I received from Blue Dart this morning -
"Dear Customer,
This festive season has bestowed Blue Dart with an unprecedented surge in the volume of shipments.
Our air, ground and infrastructure capacities have been operating more than 100% + necessitating the flying of extra Blue Dart aircraft and further more the use of commercial airline networks. Due to the heavy surge in volumes for these airlines and capacity constraints they face at airports (common user terminals), they too have faltered resulting in severe deficiencies, causing a backlog of shipments to be delivered, which in turn is impacting us and your end customers too.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused and please be assured of our best services."
----
So, who is to blame? Last week, consignments were delayed in Mumbai due to elections, week before it was the Hudhud cyclone. We cannot forsee problems. We can only anticipate what happens and hope for the best, use the best service provider for that area.
No customer of ours is small or big. Everyone is the same to us, Important. I am a hobbyist first, then a businessman.

Thanks for responding Suraj..I just compared the service it's not the first time I ordered plants..they were truly in the worst condition ever..I still have photos however I do not want bad mouth whatsoever..I did not demand for a return or expected it.
It's sometimes how u manage a customer complaint and I thought it was not satisfactory. I am not the one who complains I understand mistakes happen.

Yogeek,
It is not a question of bad-mouthing. I am not accusing you of anything. I am happy you ordered with us and I am sorry things didn't work out. No two ways about that. While Aquaswild did a very good job and we didn't on that day. That is what matters.
Plants are not the only products we deal with. They make only a part of the portfolio. Aquashoppe has been in the business since 2006 and a 100% online store since 2013. I travel a lot inside my town as well as to other places constantly. As you would have noticed, we try to bring in new products all the time, the best of stuff available in the world is now available with us. We are coming up with our own brand of products were we have found no satisfactory alternative. All this takes a considerable amount of time and energy. I may not be available to reply to mails, but I am always available on the phone. I work 7 days a week, besides the business, I run an NGO for wildlife conservation and am a volunteer in another. I devote as much time to all the three, trying my best to ensure things don't clash.
Feel free to contact me any time. 8012-522-522.
I have an office and a staff of 4 in Coimbatore, our fish farm is elsewhere and the plant farm is yet at another place. It takes a lot of co-ordination to make things work and it does. Otherwise, we wouldn't be in business for so long. Mishaps and mistakes do happen. It is a learning curve.

I too have had a great experience buying from aquaswild (via ebay) recently and have been itching to update this thread ever since. Aquaswild had a diwali offer of free shipping+discount on Dwarf Sag and DHG and I ordered a bunch of both. To keep it short, this is what happened next:
- Seller shipped via BlueDart -> courier took more than a week to arrive due to cyclone -> dead plants
- Seller reshipped via Speed Post -> speed(?) post took more than a week stating diwali reason -> dead plants
- Seller reshipped 2nd time via bluedart, this time to a centrally located address -> pathetic bluedart took almost a week to deliver stating network reasons - dead plants
- Seller agreed to refund
All the above happened in a span of 3 weeks. I paid for the plants, waited for 3 weeks and still ended up with no plants The only thing that kept me hopeful was aquaswild's prompt communication and ownership of the situation, though it was not theirs to take. I might not have had a very good experience, but I am glad I found a genuine seller for my aquatic plant needs

Hi,
I never had experience with Aquaswild, but have great experience with Aquashoppe.in most of my products tank, plants, filter, tools all bought from aquashoppe never had any issue with quality or communication and mainly i like them because of the guidance they give, when i started the hobby his guidance helped me to make my tank into great success. And mostly the shipment is the issue in your case i believe, lucky I'm staying near to his office.
