At  last  The  King  Of  Fish  in  your  tank.  And  see  how  they  looks.  That's  why  I  told  previously  that  a  group  of
single  type  of  Discus  is  best  to  keep  in  your  tank  and  my  1st  preference  was  BD.

 Your  tank  looks  awesome.

Congrates  and  keep  it  up  man.  Clapping

 thank  you   Very Happy

 Hi  guys   Smile
its  been  a  long  time  since  i  last  updated.

I'll  start  with  the  bad  news...  a  few  months  ago  my  tank  had  a  deadly  columnaris  outbreak  Crying or Very sad
most  of  the  fish  in  the  tank  died...  removed  the  remaining  discus  from  the  tank..  had  only  about  30-40  fish  remaining.
treated  the  tank  with  nitrofurantoin  for  about  3  months..  things  appear  to  be  stable  now.

finally  rescaped  the  tank  2  weeks  ago  with  new  driftwoods  and  added  10  x  Geophagus  winemilleri   Smile
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Td-xZm7CpfM
this  is  a  temporary  scape  till  the  woods  get  water  logged.  it  was  a  lot  of  work  ..  will  rescape  soon.
planning  to  add  congo  tetra  next

Wish  there  was  a  mobile  app  for  this  forum.  it'd  make  things  like  posting  pics  so  much  easier.

 Hello  Doc,

Awesome  journey  over  the  past  year  and  a  little  more  (I  went  back  to  check  the  date  of  your  first  post!)  -  both  the  scapes  look  fantastic  and  the  mind  boggles  on  the  expense  but  a  100  times  more  on  the  sheer  amount  of  effort  it  takes  to  visualize  and  actually  create  this  size  of  a  scape.

 Good  going.

Cannot  wait  for  you  to  add  the  discus  to  this  setup  -  I  hope  you  will.

 Thanks  koushik   Smile

Rescaped  my  tank.  Wanted  to  create  more  open  space  for  the  geos.  There  are  a  few  rocks  and  red  bricks  on  the  recently  added  woods  to  weigh  them  down;  will  remove  them  in  a  month  and  finalise  the  scape

 Thank  you  abhis9   Smile

There  are  50  congo  tetras.  They  always  school  in  the  top  half  of  the  tank.
Most  of  the  fish  come  to  the  surface  when  I  approach  the  tank  anyway..  for  food   Smile   Water  quality  is  always  good  in  my  tank  Thumb Up
Sadly  removed  the  discus  as  I  dint  want  to  lose  the  remaining  to  columnaris.  May  add  discus  again  in  the  future.

 Update
Tank  has  gone  high  tech   Very Happy
Installed  a  15  kg  CO2  cylinder  inside  the  stand.  With  a  dual  stage  regulator,  solenoid  valve  and  a  precision  valve  in  line.  This  runs  to  a  CO2  reactor(powered  by  a  small  pump)  placed  in  the  sump.
Have  added  2  new  4  foot  DYI  T5HO  lights(54W  x  2  each)  built  professionally  by  our  IAH  member  Sai  Kumar  Rock On
 Will  post  pics  soon.

I  have  been  using  all  RO  water  for  the  tank  till  now.  Planning  to  shift  to  tap  water  gradually  by  weekly  20%  water  changes  with  tap  water.
Reasons  are  to  reduce  maintenance  costs  and  time.
Will  install  pipeline  directly  to  the  tank  with  a  tap  and  another  pipe  to  drain  water  out  into  the  garden.
RO  water  TDS  20  pH  6.5
my  tank  TDS  40-60  pH  6.5
tap  water(Muncipal  drinking  water)  TDS  300  pH  7.5
