I have been keeping aquatic plants for over a year and a half and this hobby is adictive. I kept a low tech planted tank but recently came across a bunch of ludwigia( getting aquatic plants in jaipur is real tough. I have collected sm 13 types of plant species and took me over 2.5 years) and decided to go a bit deeper in this hobby. I decided to use DIY fertilizer since commercial aquarium fertz are neither in my budget nor available locally. Can I use MOP( KCl) and Diammonium Phosphate for fertilizing the tank?
I read somewhere that in Diammonium Phosphate(DAP) the amount of phosphate present is 3 times that of ammonia and since phosphates are required in small amount so ammonia wont be a problem. Can I really use them?
If yes then what dosing should I follow? My tank is 15 gallon wid 2.5 watt pe gallon lights. Will re-add diy Co2.
How much kCl and DAP should I use for making liquid solution. Would greatly appriciate if you could tell the amount of salts to add in terms of tbsp and tea spoons.
