We may have fewer hits on IAH today. Majority die-hard IAH users are fishing. |

Well, my wife has grown weary of my hourly imaginations "darling, do you realize that there is a group of people fishing for canarensis in the Kumandarha river right now? (at strange hours of the day/night due to the time change)(I am in California).
The rest of the world is waiting to hear word of the Canarensis, as well as the fate of the cake.....anyway, I am sure that you will have lots of interesting information for us, and we are eager to hear upon your return.....

Hi,
Just trying to revive this thread as the particular fish is really stunning.
Has anyone succeeded in breeding E. Canarensis?
I found a video on Youtube and you guys may be interested still, follow this link-

Hi guys, I'll get 5 E.canarensis next week.
Is there anyone in this forum who's keeping them?
There's not much info about this fish online. That's why I registered in this forum.(I'm from Europe)
There's one guy in Germany who's keeping a group of canarensis, but not much experience with them so far.
They seem to be a prone to diseases a bit more than common cichlids. He lost two fish so far to unknown sicknesses/infection.
I'm generally interested in fish from India e.g. western ghats. I'd be happy about any information regarding care, breeding and biotope!
Of course I'll share my experience with this beautiful and rare species.
Best Regards from Austria, Florian |
