Hi,
i have about 50 cardinal tetra in a bare bottom tank (24x18x12) with sponge filters running. Today morning i noticed all fish's gills are red and some of them have white fungal kind on the side fins.
I usually clean the tank and do water change 30-40% every week.
Can anyone help me with a solution for this?

Its mostly ammonia burns due to ammonia poisoning. 50 is a bit high for that size tank especially if filtration is insufficient or the tank isnt cycled completely. Control feeding and do alternate day WCS for now and try to shift half to another tank. The infection is due to the bad water quality also |

Yup... As another member pointed out... Most of your fish if not all have ammonia burns, and one in the pic might have camalanus worms. Check your aquarium parameters. Do a large water change. |
