Hi  Everybody.  I  am  Griffith  from  Chennai.  I  have  a  2.5  feet  Minjiang  aquarium  with  2  oscar  fishes  in  it.  I  just  bought  a  4  x  2  x  2  feet  glass  tank  for  which  I  need  to  get  the  hood  and  the  filtration  system  set  up  so  that  I  can  let  some  fishes  swim  in  this  tank  Smile

 Hi  Friends

I  am  Senthil  from  Mysore,  basically  from  Chennai.  Although  my  Dad  introduced  home  aquariums  when  I  was  a  toddler,  I  turned  out  to  be  a  fish  hobbyist  just  for  less  than  a  year  now.   I  have  a  65  US  gallon  tank  with  many  mollies,  barbs  and  rainbows  (no  gold  fish  strictly).  I  have  another  10  gallon  tank  for  my  son  with  a  planted  set  up  where  there  are  just  guppies  and  neon  tetras.  I  have  inspired  my  wife  to  keep  one  for  herself  and  she  is  planning  to  get  a  29  gallon  where  she  would  keep  only  angels  -  of  different  colours.  I  have  also  influenced  my  in  laws  now  at  Salem  and  they  are  cycling  their  60  gallon  tank  to  put  parrot  cichlids.

My  favourites  are  big  colorful  barb  varieties  &  rainbow  fishes.

 Hello  Guys:

This  is  peeyoosh  this  side.  Earlier  we  used  to  operate  business  with  the  name  Aquabite.  Couple  of  months  back  we  changed  our  name  to  PetOxy  and  are  active  now.

 Hello  everyone

I  am  Sankar,  a  student(just  completed  B.Sc)  from  Assam.  I  have  been  interested  in  fishkeeping  for  as  long  as  i  can  remember.  This  probably  started  due  to  my  father,  as  he   used  to  keep  live  food  fishes  like  catfishes,  channa,  anabas  etc  in  buckets  to  be  eaten  later.  He  is  also  quite  fond  of  fishes  as  pets  and  my  biggest  supporter  in  this  hobby.
I  love  the  look  of  smaller  sized  schooling  fishes  in  heavily  planted  tanks.  At  present,  i  have  an  outdoor  cement  tank  with  Vallisneria  spiralis,  bacopa,  native  swords  and  some  floating  plants,  where  i  am  keeping  gold  barbs,  platies  and  some  native  fishes  (puntius  sp,  Esomus  danricus,  Mystus  vittatus).
I  will  be  acquiring  my  very  first  aquarium  within  a  few  months,  if  all  goes  according  to  plan   Cheering  and  hope  that  it  gets  set  up  relatively  smoothly  with  the  guidance  of  the  experienced  people  here.

 Regards

 Hello,
I'm  Blesson,  doctor  by  profession.  Been  a  fish  addict  from  age  6.  Started  with  tetras  and  still  onto  tetras.  Took  a  detour  in  between  and  went  into  reef  keeping  for  a  couple  years.  Now  have  a  single  low  tech  planted  tank  as  that's  all  my  time  permits.  Desperately  trying  to  breed  Otos  and  corys.  I  am  29  years  old  and  am  from  bengaluru.
Current  tank  has  a  crypts,  Anubias  golden,  Bacopa  caroliniana,  dwarf  sag,  Staurogynne  repens  and  Christmas  moss.
I  have  Neons  and  cardinals,  Harlequin  tetras,  pygmy  corys,  panda  corys  and  Otocinclus  macrospilus.  Tank  is  overrun  with  fire  red  cherry  shrimp  and  blue  dream  shrimp.  And  all  of  these  I  have  managed  to  cram  into  a  30  gal.  Would  love  to  meet  with  fellow  hobbyists  from  bangalore  when  time  permits.

 Hi  All,

I  am  novice  in  setting  up  or  even  buying  an  Aquarium!   I  was  always  fascinated  about  them  but  now  have  gathered  the  courage  to  take  this  up  in  practice.  Need  help  and  support  in  setting  up  my  first  aquarium.

I  have  gone  through  the  beginners  forum  and  was  making  up  my  mind  for  a  20  gallon  tank  (  24  x  12  x  16)  with  external  air  pump  with  sponge  and  an  air-stone  inside  tank.  Meanwhile  a  colleague  came  in  and  suggested  to  go  for  a  bigger   70  gallon  (  36  x  18  x  24  )  tank,  wit  Fluval  U4  Filter  and  Fluval  E200  Heater.   His  point  is  this  shall  be  a  long  term  investment.

 Kindly  advice.
