2.5  mnths  old  and  end  result  of  a  mini  panda  with  almost  adult  colouration.  Will  be  introducing  it  to  the  main  display  in  a  months  time  as  soon  as  they  get  acclimatised  to  the  dispay  tanks  water

Well  brought  the  4  survivors  back  home  in  their  dedicated  growout  tank.  Came  home  to  see  and  know  that  the  adults  have  been  spawning  regularly,  but  no  sign  of  eggs  in  the  usual  spots  in  the  moss,  and  tonight  noticed  that  the  female  was  laying  eggs  on  the  walls  and  floor  of  the  display  and  then  coming  back  and  eating  them.  Rescued  4  eggs  in  the  nick  of  time  and  isolated  in  the  old  hatchery  box.  She  has  changed  her  laying  spot  as  my  wife  tied  up  the  moss  that  had  become  loose  off  the  driftwood  and  thats  the  spot  she  couldnt  get  to.  Have  tried  and  made  that  spot  available  again  and  hope  to  see  more  eggs  in  the  moss  instead  of  on  the  floor  and  walls.

The  next  batch  of  7  or  so  eggs  have  arrived  and  already  one  fry  hatched.  Will  try  working  out  minimising  fry  loss  this  time  around.  With  the  rains  and  thunderstorms,  the  adults  are  working  overtime  at  cranking  out  batches   Thumbs Up

Tremendous  day  with  the  oldest  and  largest  of  the  fry  being  inroduced  back  into  the  display  to  be  with  the  parents.  Few  scary  moments  in  the  beginning  as  he  lay  gasping  on  the  floor  but  in  an  hours  time  when  it  was  feeding  time  he  perked  right  up  and  went  off  to  pig  out   ROFL
