Hi Pran,
They are caused by over feeding in an aquarium .The worm's are called Planeria.
To remove the worms do a water change and siphon them out. Also reduce the quantity of feed for the fish.
Regards,
Nayak. |

You mean heater? and the temperature that needs to be set....?
well the cause is over feeding, and until this is reduced the problem will persist. Follow what Nayak has said. |

Hey,
Its common in arowanna and discus tanks, use a pleco and it will get rid of this worm.
Happens due to uneaten food left over and bad water quality and its not planaria. |

@aquadip2000
i was suggesting the ideal temp for the heater to set..
@aquadip2000
i think its due to over feeding.....
and doing the water change weekly by 75%..
Thnaks

Hello ,
I am trying to find a good method to get rid of planaria.
I have them in my tank. since quiet a long time.. i have be doing the frequent water change and the feeding is also not much not sure why i haven't been able to get rid of them.
setup is about 500ltrs tank
1 goldfish(giant large)
1 discuss( large).
Filteration is the inbuilt top filter and an in tank power filter.
water change is about 20% every wed and sat.
Feed only tetrabits.
this setup is almost 4 years old. no change.
