So  like  stated  in  the  description,  I  have  a  ISTA  3  in  1  V  Shape  Co2  diffuser  which  i've  been  using  with  my  DIY  setup  for  the  last  5  months.  It  worked  fine  other  than  for  the  occasional  clogging  due  to  algae.

I  upgraded  to  a  pressurized  setup  a  week  ago  and  the  diffuser  just  doesn't  work  when  connected  to  the  co2  cylinder.  I  see  a  few  bubbles  at  the  base  (as  it  also  has  a  bubble  counter)  and  then  nothing  happens,  whether  I  set  the  needle  valve  to  2  bps  or  50  bps.  If  I  plug  in  any  other  diffuser  it  works  just  fine,  so  definitely  no  problem  with  the  cylinder  or  tubing.

 DIY  setup
 Citric  acid+Baking  soda  at  2-3  kg/cm3  pressure

 Pressurized
 50psi  working  pressure

What  could  be  the  issue  here  ?  I  cleaned  the  diffuser  recently  to  see  of  its  clogged,  but  that  didn't  help.

 Hi,

Can  you  post  a  pic  of  your  tube  connections,  there  seems  to  be  a  leak  somewhere.

 regards,

Sure,  this  is  the  cylinder+diffuser,  tubing  goes  out  through  the  opening  behind,  to  the  tank  where  at  water  level  there's  another  check  valve  and  then  to  diffuser.

 Hi,

I'm  using  2  of  these  Ista  Compact  V  3  in  1  diffuser,  it  has  bubble  counter  and  check  valve  built  into  it.  I  think  you  are  over  straining  the  tube  with  2  more  check  valves.  Try  connecting  the  bubble  counter  outlet  directly  to  diffuser  without  any  breaks  in  tube.

 regards,

Hi  thanks  for  the  input.  I  tried  with  one  check  valve  initially  and  faced  the  same  issue,  later  added  another  check  valve,  so  running  2  check  valves  as  of  now.  I'm  baffled  because  it  works  perfectly  with  my  DIY  setup!  The  other  glass  diffuser  is  no  where  close  to  ista  in  terms  of  diffusing.
