Hello  friends  I  am  new  to  this  hobby  however  I  was  following  people  who  are  dedicatedly  persuing  this  hobby.  Now  my  question  is  this  ....how  much  co2  is  required  for  4  shrimps  tank.  Approx  28  litre  tank  I  have  .  Cycled  for  1  week.  Plants  are  expanding  and  growing  from  last  5  days.  Now  I  don't  know  about  co2  level.  I  using  diy  co2  yeast  and  sugar  till  now.  Plants  are  healthy  and  growing  .  I  cannot  buy  co2  testing  kit  which  is  more  then  800  RS  in  Amazon.  Any  other  way  to  test  co2  level.  I  have  pH  meter  and  I  have  TDS  meter  (  taken  from  my  own  RO  parts  shop).  I  am  going  to  add  shrimps  today  night  as  they  will  arrive  from  Kerala  to  Delhi  today.   Please  suggest  what  should  I  do  help  will  be  highly  appreciated.

 Hi  Yogesh

 Please  show  your  tank  pictures.

In  my  opinion,  your  tank  is  very  small,  and  plus  you  have  shrimps.  I  suggest,  you  do  not  use  CO2  as  it  will  affect  your  shrimps.  But  if  you  insist,  you  can  make  a  DIT  CO2  with  sugar  50  gms  +  1  teaspoon  of  dry  yeast  +  1.5  liter  water  in  a  2  liter  plastic  bottle.  to  control  the  co2,  use  those  small  lactic  controllers  for  air  flow  and  for  diffusing  co2  use  a  small  diffuser.  check  the  concepts  on  youtube.

Dont  make  too  much  co2,  as  your  tank  is  small.  just  give  a  little  touch  for  plants  to  be  good.

   Thumb Up

 Thank  you  for  your  reply

co2  is  required  for  a  heavily  planted  tank,  what  kind  of  plants  do  you  have?  check  on  https://tropica.com/en  for  the  co2  requirement  for  the  plants  you  have..
