 Hello  all,

Sharing  some  photos  of  my  2  month  old  low  tech  planted  vase.  Plants  are  anubias  petite,  bucephalandra,  fissidens  fontanus,  weeping  moss  and  hydrocotyle  tripartita.  Filtration  is  through  a  3D  printed  HOB  filter.  Auto  dosing  daily  a  DIY  mix  of  All  in  One  Fertilizers.  Inhabitants  are  some  RCS.

And  as  usual,  not  expecting  any  replies   Razz     Chuckle

 regards,

 That  looks  absolutely  smashing!

You  need  to  tell  us  more  about  the  3D  printed  HOB  filter  man.

Superb  setup.  Inspirational.  How  are  the  lights  suspended,  from  the  ceiling  or  something?
I  am  guessing  the  need  to  3D  print  the  HOB  was  for  on  fitment  needs?  Yes  can  you  tell  us  more  about  it.
Moss  and  fissidens  how  are  you  managing  the  tank  temperature,  given  the  very  low  volume  of  water.

 thanks  guys!

Regarding  the  3D  printed  HOB  filter,  its  basically  a  container  that  i  have  designed  that  fits  the  dimensions  of  this  vase.  Water  siphons  from  vase  and  is  pushed  upwards  through  a  12  VDC  pump  (attached  at  the  bottom  of  container).  Water  flows  through  sponges,  seachem  matrix,  filter  wool  and  then  back  into  vase...

 Thanks  !     Thumb Up

For  fertilizer,  pls  refer  this  link  http://theplantedtank.co.uk/allinone.htm

Lighting  is  via  ordinary  high  density  12v  LED  strips,  which  is  cut  and  sticked  to  a  small  piece  of  aluminium  heatsink.  Roughly  its  around  11w.  There's  arduino  helping  in  the  background  with  lighting  time,  brightness  level  and  auto  dosing  ferts.
