Check the cylinder manufacture date. if its older than 15 years then don't buy it. The month and year is stamped on cylinder during manufacturing process and cannot be changed.
If its older then These are scrapped cylinders being introduced into the hobby by shady practices. Dont go by sellers words if they say its pressure tested. if thats the case ask for the certificate that is always given after the pressure test.
if you want to decipher what is embossed on the cylinder search for "co2 cylinder INEI number" on google

Hi Haresh,
Did KSK aquagear deliver your regulator? I had inquired with him and he quoted me 6500 for the Yamato regulator , 1kg cylinder, tubing, NR valve and ceramic diffuser. I told him that i only wanted the regulator and cylinder since i have the rest. He said he will ask his dealer and tell me the final price, but even after 2 reminders on whatsapp hes not gotten back.
So im looking for other providers. Do you know of any?
I was wondering if the regulator at the link below would work with the 1kg cylinder from Metro Trading ( They quoted me 1700 for cylinder and 170 for filling the gas . Also saw your 5 star rating for them on just dial )
Is there a specification for the outlet that the cylinder has? Perhaps in inches or some other terminology so i can ask the easypets site guys if this regulator will work properly with the cylinder.
This is what the Aliexpress vendor that sells this same regulator says
Quote:
Before the order you must confirm the thread interface.
W218 is W21.8 thread therface suitable for most Euro contry, Japan, some Asia countries,
G58 is G5/8 thread therface.
CGA320 suitable for US and some other country.
So can you check your cylinder if it has any thing like the above specifications written on it?
Also from what I see the regulator listed above has a fixed pressure as i cant see a knob to regulate the working pressure.
Your regulator lets you control the working pressure right?
