My oscar has got used to eating only northfin 2mm pellets and dried shrimp and meal worms. The problem is I don't want to feed shrimp or worms too often, and the northfin pellets are not too suitable for my oscar. The pellets are too small and sinking type. So part of the feed just falls to the bottom or eaten by other fish.
Any suggestions on how I can get my oscar to eat other type of large floating pellets like cichlid bio gold or any others for that matter?
Some additional info:
My oscar is close to 9" (I would like it to grow faster because its at this size for quite some time)
Other tank mates include normal and king kong blood parrots and mono angels.
Tank is 4 feet, 112 gallons.

Powder about 1 tea spoon of the current pellets and mix the powder with a portion of which ever new pellet you want to feed it. the portion should be enough to last a couple of weeks and the powder should help mask the taste and smell of the new food.. Starve the fist for 2 days and then feed it this pellet mix. If it eats this then, feed only alternate days till this mix is over and then switch to new food.
The Oscar is already near its max size. unless you shift it to a large pond it may not grow further.
