 Thanks  a  Lot  SaiKumar.  I  never  thought  abt  this  point  before  that  Glass  thickness  will  kill  some  length.  Thank  god....  I  didn't  cut  my  glasses  yet.  I  will  go  for  50"  instead  of  48".  Hope  it  will  be  fine.

 Hi  Dev,
 Simply  go  for  T5  or  T8  tubes.  MH  will  produce  lot  of  heat  which  is  not  good  for  any  aquarium  until  you  have  a  chilling  machine.  Smile

 howmany  of  them  do  u  have  squeezed  in  it?
 
 @tirthanker-it  was  my  pleasure  helping  u  Very Happy  ...better  take  the  EXACT  measurements  of  the  tubelite  system  and  go  ahead  a  bit  more  than  that  for  safety.  Thumb Up

 Guys  i  ve  got  a  doubt  here...i  have  a  4/2/2ft  tank  8mm  Sad  ....i  would  like  to  fill  in  with  some  rocks...so  would  like  to  ask  you  all  as  to  what  would  be  the  weight  PER  area  of  rock  i  can  use.
 My  tank  is  4yrs  old,with  a  iron  stand  of  2  beams.
 
 thankyou  very  much(i  will  go  for  a  chiclid  setup  may  be  Thumb Up  )

 Dev.....  better  you  read  through  the  old  threads.  There  are  hell  lot  of  information  and  the  pros  and  cons  for  T5  and  MH.

 Yes,  4  feet  tube  and  total  three  tubes  are  there.
 1x48"  36  watts  T8  Actinic  Blue.
 2x48"  40  watts  T8  12000  kelvin  Day  Light.

 hey  rocky  how  did  u  do  that?i  dont  understand  how  u  can  put  up  48"thing  in  a  47"thing???  Surprised  Is  that  the  reason  why  you  have  a  extended  Canopy?  Sad  
 hey  just  curious...did  u  know  earlier  that  you  would  not  fit  it  Chuckle  ,but  later  patched  it  up?
 
 hey  anyone  willing  to  solve  my  problem  too?  Chuckle  mentioned  5posts  above

 We  get  T5  in  bulk,  but  then  T5  HO  is  a  different  poposition...

   T5  HO's  and  HO  constatnts  are  easily  available  in  bangalore....
 
 Even  i  have  my  T5  HO  4ft  in  my  4ft  tank  and  i  did  extend  the  hood  to  make  the  lights  go  into  the  hood.
