 Welcome  to  IAh  friend.
Tiger  barbs  with  Angel  are  not  a  good  option.  check  if  the  babs  are  not  nipping  them.  Do  you  have  any  plants  in  these  ponds.
What  do  you  do  about  filternation, water  changes.etc.

The  barbs  usually  move  in  a  group  and  are  not  hostile  towards  any  fish. They  do  stand  facing  the  ground  and  quite  still  sometimes.WONDER  why  they  do  so  ?  i  have  some  potted  plants  which  i  got  from  Gem  aquarist  in  chennai.I  have  a  sponge  filter  and  gravel  and  stones  for  the  base. When  the  water  gets  dirty  i  simply  pour  it  for  my  plants   scrub  the  gravel  and  replace  the  potted  plants.I  fill  the  tank  with  a  garden  hose  using  metro  water.I  let  the  water  stand  for  24  hrs  and  then  put  back  the  fish  that  i  keep  in  buckets  or  tubs, covered  with  alace  table  cloth  as  earlier  some  of  my  fishes  jumped  out  and  became  high  protien  diet  for  big  black  ants.i  dont  clean  the  tank  with  fries.

Tiger  barbs  will  stand  vertical  with  their  heads  down  when  the  nitrites  are  high.

This  is  a  classic  symptom  of  high  nitrites  they  exhibit.

Do  not  scrub  the  gravel  at  water  changes,  just  mildly  agitate  the  garvel  and  remove  the  debris  that  is  thrown  up.

Do  small  partial  water  changes  to  keep  nitrites  down.

Siphon  out  the  water  using  an  airline  tubing  the  end  covered  with  a  net.

 The  fries  will  be  safe.

More  the  feed  and  water  changes  faster  the  fry  will  grow.  I  do  daily  90%  water  changes  for  fry.  Don't  catch  the  fries  and  move  them  out.

I  am  doing  exactly  what  Madan  has  mentioned   for  my  small  clay  Tub  in  which  I  have  guppy  fries  .  It  is  time  comsuming  process  but  very  helpful.

I  do  100%  WC  twice  a  week.  I  have  the  parents  too  in  the  same  clay  tub.  I  know  Its  a  bad  idea  but  the  fries  have  grown  to  maybe  2/5  the  size  of  their  parents!  I  feed  them  aqua  -  flakes  and  this  is  the  first  time  I  had  fish  breeding  at  home.

 Regards,
 Surya
