1  pack  is  not  going  to  cover  up  the  10%  portion  of  the  tank  size  you  have  mentioned.

put  a  1"  layer  humus  &  cover  it  with  simple  gravel.  Start  dosing  Flora  as  written  on  the  instruction  manual.  Thumb Up

.....  but  ..  if  you  are  going  to  make  a  full  featured  planted  tank,  then  please  also  do  add  PRODAC's  Peat  Plates  &  Fondovivo,  Humus  &  Humus  Plus  along  with  both  PRODAC  liquid  fertilizers  :  Flora  &  Ferro.

You  can  also  use  laterite.  Its  simply  cheap  &  best.  Thumb Up

 Vpul

Congrats  for  deciding  to  start  a  planted  tank,  it  is  really  exciting  and  enjoy  the  challange  to  grow  greenaries  inside  your  living  place.

I  used  humus  mixed  with  laterite  and  gravel  in  1:1:1at  the  bottom  layer  of  1  inch  thick.  Cover  it  with  normal  gravel  of  2  to  5  mm  seive.
However,  use  humus  and  liquid  fertiliser  only  if  your  are  serious  to  take  care  of  other  areas  like  appropriate  light,  CO2  dosing,  regular  water  changes  and  heavy  plantation.

Otherwise  your  purpose  of  using  humus  could  be  defeated.

Look  out  several  posting  in  this  forum  and  you  can  get  enriched  with  lot  of  information.

 Regards
 Rana
