Isn't  that  an  easy  access  for  frogs,  snakes  and  suicidal  rats?

 Dear  Madam
Beautiful  pond. If  you  put  some  boulder  along  the  side  (like  a  bank)it  will  look  more  natural. So  what  fauna  you  are  suppose  to  introduce  there?  Keep  updated  on  quarterly  basis  if  possible.
 Regards
 Kaushik

 Hey  Shubhi,
Very  cool!  could  you  give  us  more  details  of  the  setup,  what  flora  and  fauna  you  have  in  there.  Does  it  get  a  lot  of  direct  sunlight?  and  if  so  how  are  you  dealing  with  algae.
I  realize  its  covered  during  the  daytime....does  that  mean  when  there's  direct  sunlight  its  covered  and  it  gets  on  diffused  sunlight?
 Filtration?

 Neat  job!

 Hi  Shubhi,
Your  small  garden  pond  is  lovely.  What  fish  are  you  planning  to  keep?  Keep  an  aerator  or  sponge  filter  if  you  are  going  to  keep  fishes.keep  us  updated  on  your  interesting  idea.  ITs  cuteand  adds  life  to  your  garden.

Dont  want  to  discourage  you,  but  its  too  small  for  an  outdoor  container.  Outdoor  ponds  should  be  large  so  that  the  change  in  climate  doesnt  have  a  sudden  impact  on  the  pond  and  its  inhabitants.

You  can  keep  guppies  in  it  if  you  like,  i  have  a  similar  sized  one  on  the  roof,  the  problem  is  that  crows  and  other  birds  use  it  as  a  bird  bath.  so  I  had  to  remove  the  fish  placed  in  it.  Make  sure  you  have  some  fish  in  it  to  get  rid  of  mosqutoe  larve,  You  might  also  want  to  place  a  few  obstructions  or  something  so  that  the  birds  dont  trouble  the  pond.

Hey  nice  work   Very Happy  ,  but  i'l  have  to  agree  with  Hamza,  the  larger  the  tank,  the  more  stable  the  temperature  would  be.  Smile

Thanks  you  all  for  your  inputs  and  encouraging  words.      Very Happy

I  can't  make  it  big  because  of  place  constrain.

It  gets  some  sunlight  during  morning  hours  and  then  all  through  out  the  day  diffused  sunlight.

There  are  two  small  carps  in  there  and  some  apple  snails  (taking  care  of  mosquito  larva)  .

Because  it  is  burried  in  ground  I  think  there  is  no  problem  with  the  temperature.

 At  the  moment  no  filteration

I  had  only  Amazons  there.   Why  don't  you  put  a  fine  mesh  to  cover  it  (you  can  also  use  used  nylon  mosquito  net).   Also  try  to  avoid  direct  sunlight  otherwise  your  whole  pond  walls  will  be  green  with  elgea.
