 @  Tirtha-da...
       thanks.   Smile
       I've  updated  my  profile.

 @  Kaushik-da...
       Thanks  for  appreciation   Smile
It's  nice  to  get  to  know  u.
Even  I  was  hesitant  about  adding  the  kenyis  and  auratus  in  the  tank  as
I  was  well  aware  of  their  notorious  activities  !
But  it  has  been  8  days,  since  I  released  them,  and  no  problem  with  them
       so  far...
May  be  its  because  all  my  other  fishes  are  above  3.5''  in  size  and  these
       fellows  are  just  1''~1.5"  !

 Hi  Lawrence

 U  are  absolutely  correct  man....
No  point  in  keeping  two  Tangis  in  an  exclusive  malawi  tank..
Thing  is  I'm  keeping  them  for  da  last  one  year...  n  kinda  feel  bad  to  give  them  away....
I'll  be  coming  up  with  an  exclusive  fronts  tank...n  then  i  can  remove  the  pair  to  that  tank....

btw  can  u  tell  me  where  i  can  get  zaire  fronts  in  India...  n  what'd  be  the  cost  ?

 take  care  !   Smile

Neat  looking  tank  Indrajit.  However,  one  suggestion  though,  how  about  putting  same  kind  of  rock  rather  than  three  different  kind.

 Cheers

 Vince

Good  big  tank....  A  very  good  venus  you  have  got  there....  The  auratus  and  kenny  problems  usually  start  when  they  reach  maturity.  Until  then,  they  will  keep  it  to  themselves  or  would  only  harass  docile  fishes.

 Hi  Vince  !   Smile

thanks  for  your  appreciation  and  suggestion....
well,  if  i  had  done  for  same  type  rocks  then  i  would  not  have  got  the  colour  contrast  in  backdrop,  and  since  i  went  for  diffrent  types  of  rocks  i  chose  a  black  background  as  it'd  help  to  concentrate  on  the  fishes  !

another  problem  is  in  kolkata  we  hardly  get  natural  rocks...
there's  only  one  shop  which  keeps  fountain  stones  n  that's  too  pretty  expensive   Sad

so  didn't  have  much  choice  either...
if  i  redo  the  after  sometime,  i'll  definitely  keep  your  advice  in  mind  !

 take  care  !

 Hi  Sriram  !   Smile

 thanks  for  appreciating  buddy...

 yes...
the  venus  pair  are  pure  bloodline...and  the  aulonocaras....

auratus  n  kenyis  didnt  trouble  as  of  yet...
but  just  as  u  said  problems  will  arise  with  maturity  ,  I  think  i'll  have  to  shift  them  then  !
but  it'll  take  some  4-5  months  atleast   !

 take  care  !

 Indrajit,

Wonderful  tank..I  was  really  awestruck  by  the  collection  you  got  here  in  Kolkata.
Could  you  let  me  know  the  source  and  price  of  those  beauties.
Please  PM  me  the  price  as  discussing  price  in  forum  is  not  allowed  here  for  good  reasons.

Best  of  luck  with  the  fish.

 Thanks,
 Abhi

 Indrajit,
great  collection.  very  nice..  Thumbs Up   but  i  would  go  with  the  rock  suggestion.  keep  them  single.  i  use  burnt  bricks  from  a  local  brick  kiln.  if  you  have  any  around  your  city  then  use  those.  they  look  really  nice  and  are  free  if  you  know  the  guy.  i  got  mine  for  free.  DJrocky  might  be  able  to  get  you  some  rocks...

 Indrajit,
by  single  i  meant  that  single  type  of  rocks.  they  enhance  the  beauty  of  the  tank.  you  have  some  round  rocks  and  some  slate  rock.  round  rocks  look  awesome  if  you  can  get  them.  seen  a  few  tanks  with  only  round  rocks  and  sand  and  they  look  really  awesome.  if  only  Calcutta  wasn't  that  far..  i  have  loads  of  rocks  from  my  brick  kiln.  you  could  have  them.   Sad
if  anyone  is  going  to  south  east  then  maybe  a  few  of  the  guys  can  couple  their  orders...  i  have  quite  a  list  of  fishes  that  i  would  like  to  have....any  takers...
