Hello everyone,
Extremely sorry for my mistakes.
But regarding Kaikamba on the airport road,I know that place and there are no rivers nearby. The nearest river is the Gurupur river and it is approximately 5kms from Kaikamba. As far as my knowledge goes there is another Kaikambe near Polali. Can Mr Trevor clarify?

Nayak, there is river and Bridge after Kaikhamba towards Mangalore, I drove over the Bridge and saw the water body (river) coming back to Mangalore from Kudremukh National Park.
It may be Gurupur river, but it is pretty large one. |

Dear Mr Madan,
I agree with you.I commented because my mother is from Perar 2 Kms from Kaikamba and spent all my holidays from school there as a kid.Gurupur has a famous Venkatramana temple and another temple where the have a oracle everyday.Heard it was very powerful.

Nayak. |

That's the Gurupur river.
It passes under the 'Kaikamba' Bridge and 'Kuloor' Bridge and drains off into the sea North of Mangalore just before 'The New Mangalore Port'.
Shall post a pic. |

Hi,
Since nearly 15 ppl have confirmed, wouldn't it be convenient if we take a Tempo Traveller instead of cars.............atleast that way we can concentrate on the fishing part........

Hello everyone,
IMHO,I suggest we take cars.Since there are a lot of people we can form groups and explore more areas instead of all the people at one place. We can all stay at one place for the night and compare notes.
This is only my opinion.

Hi Nayak:
The idea is to get a feel of every place that the team visits...
As a team we play together rather than breaking into smaller chunks with no directions...
Hence, we stick together and do the exploration of whatever best spots possible...
I'm also contemplating on the idea of going in a Single Vehicle (SCSriram's idea)...from B'lore...Say What?
Also, do Chennai Guys need to come to B'lore and then move on OR do they have a short-cut to Mangalore?
Thanks, |
