 how  many  max  fishes  i  can  keep?
 That  depends  on  the  type  of  fish.  (Usually  around  inch  of  fish  per  gallon)

 how  often  shud  i  change  water?
 50-75%  water  change  per  week  is  the  bare  minimum

 shud  i  use  water  from  aquaguard?  i  stay  in  a  area  where  water  is  chlorinated  too  much.
 You  do  not  need  aquagaurd  water  all  u  need  to  do  is  areate  the  water  for  24  hours  before  doin  a  water  change  to  minimize  the  chlorine

 how  long  shud  i  keep  the  air  pump  on  in  a  day?
 24hours

 how  long  i  shud  keep  the  water  purifying  pump  on?
 24hours  too  but  that  depends  on  the  stocking
 You  could  use  a  corner  filter  if  u  dont  wana  use  the  power  filter  the  whole  day  long!!!

 how  often  i  shud  feed  the  fishes?

 fishcam  please  update  your  profile  so  that  we  can  know  where  you  are  from  and  help  you  more  regarding  your  hobby!  Thumb Up
 @how  many  fishes:  depends  on  what  type  of  fishes  you  want  to  keep!

 @water  change:i  would  not  recommend  a  50-75%  water  change  every  week  ,that  ll  change  the  environment  of  the  fish  too  often  creating  stress(they  have  to  acclimatize  everytime  you  do  so  much  water  change)i  would  recommend  around  20-30  %  water  change  every  week!just  siphon  out  the  debris  and  muck  from  the  substrate  and  top  up  with  water!

 @chlorine:there  are  many  dechlorinators  availbale  in  the  market  ,aquaguard  is  good  but  removes  most  minerals.so  just  as  shannon  said  keep  the  water  in  a  bucket  for  about  2  days  and  then  use  it  to  change  the  water  in  the  tank  while  cleaning!

 @air  pump  and  filter:
 filter  must  be  on  24x7!  air  pump  can  be  switched  on  during  the  night  when  there  is  a  fall  in  oxygen  levels!

 @feeding:
 2-3  times  a  day  would  do!  do  not  overfeed!

 U  can  do  a  water  change  in  a  week  -  abt  10-15%,  along  with  it  you  can  add  a  handful  of  salt  granules.  Aguaguard  water  is  also  fine  or  u  could  store  the  water  for  2/3  days,  alongwith  it  you  can  add  dechlorinator

 You  could  run  the  filter  for  3-4  hours  and  air  pump  for  another  4  hours.

 You  get  the  multi-colored  pellets  which  you  give  -  a  ration  is  4  pellets  for  each  fish.  They  should  finish  it  in  5  minutes

 Hope  this  helps.  You  will  learn  as  you  go  further...

 You  may  want  to  give  these  a  read  before  you  purchase  any  new  fish.  They  are  from  a  cichlid  oriented  site  but  applies  to  general  fish  keeping  as  well.
