first off... congrats on a really wonderful and extremely informative thread.. 
i noticed that pretty much all the people who have posted comments on this thread have triple digit post counts.. being very new here, i was very reluctant to post a comment. But as a matter of fact.. i really did want to post a comment or a thank you for almost every single post of your's. I have been going through the pages for the past few days... and i should admit that it has kept me hooked on to it like it were superglue :D
at the end of it, i felt it would be such a shame if i did not thank you oh so profusely and would be a dishonor to such a remarkable person and thread...!!!
so here goes A BIG "THANK YOU" ::
for a person like me, who is getting back to the hobby after a long gap, this has been a treasure chest of wonderful info and knowledge... something that would help me start off on the right foot..
i couldn't possibly account for all that i have learnt... but i am sure that i'll be reading and re reading most of it atleast a few more times :)
i should also applaud your wonderful way of getting all this information, even the finest of details, through.. without that i seriously doubt if all this info can ever be crammed into one single and very enjoyable thread... its like those nursery rhymes they teach at pre school.. its so much fun that most people remember it their entire lives.. : :
as a side note... if i may suggest one little thing... the admins could consider sending this link along with the welcome note and intro thread link to the new members.. i am sure it would open out new worlds and answer a lot of our long unanswered questions and silly misconceptions at one go.. ::
sorry about the long "newbie" post guys... but sincerely.. this is the least i could do for this truly amazing thread..
so once again A BIG "THANK YOU" ::

Once or twice in the lifetime of each of us there happen a few hours when
the earth is farthest away from life giving sun and the juxtaposition of Mercury, Mars and Saturn
allow Rahu and Ketu a free hand to run riot in our lives.
One such day came about 1/2 a score + few years ago.
We were all at ASK meeting on that fateful Sunday unaware of any tremors that were to hits us and remain with us.
The conversation went something like this:
First Guy:
Hey Guys Trevor has got married.
Second Guy: He didn't invite me, did you go for his wedding?
First Guy:
I didn't know he was married. This lady ( name withheld) saw him at (shopping complex) holding hands and walking with a lady (another lady).
She went up and said "HI" and Trevor introduced the lady ( holding hands with) as his wife.
I thought okay some kid's got married.
A few minutes later this dyed haired chap walks in and everyone starts congratulating him.
Dyed hair chap:: " Why is everyone congratulating me? "
First Guy:
You got married and didn't invite....... blah....
Trevor:
Who said I got married tch... mad or what?
First Guy:
Don't Edit man so and so saw you holding hands with a lady and you introduced her as your wife to this lady(name with held)
Trevor:
Tch..Tch..... I said she was " A wife", Somebody's wife. Not my wife. HA HA HA HA...
Now we can let him loose on any unsuspecting irritating people. |
