 Hi,

I  saw  something  similar  at  LFS  in  matthikere,  but  the  body  coloration
 was  totally  different.

similar  pattern  and  features  but  velvet  greenish  and  black  body  with
 red  streak.

the  guy  said  not  for  sale,  will  go  tonight  after  work  and  check  if  out
 properly.

 regards

 Dan

Had  a  very  few  long  long  long  ago.  Never  saw  them  here  later.  Kindly  keep  posted  on  the  LFS  /  hobbyists  selling  those.

Males,  usually  show  the  red  shade  better  to  entice  the  females.  But,  I  liked  the  sort  of  'bottle  green'  shade  it  has.  Nice  fish!

Rabi  Venkatesan(IAH  did  an  interview  of  him  many  years  back)  has  some  of  the  best  green  tiger  barbs.

Vyas,  though  not  as  colourful,  the  O  cosuatis  is  comparable  for  the  dorsal  fin.  why  dont  you  give  that  a  shot  if  you  cant  get  these  puntius?
