 Hey  Folks

After  looking  at  a  couple  of  moss  tanks  on  the  forum,  thinking  of  starting  one  myself,  I  want  to  create  something  exotic,   im  not  much  of  a  traveller  and  have  to  rely  on  the  net  for  inspiration  ....  from  Nature  offcourse.  Below  is  one  scenery  that  interested  me  and  thinking  of  recreating.  If  any  of  you  guys  have  some  inspirational  pictures  like  these  please  post.

Will  take  time  to  get  all  the  things  in  place  to  recreate  this,  but  here  is  the  jist  of  it.

 Tank:  24x18x18  OR  18x15x15

Substrate:  Off  White  Sand  or  ADA  Nile  Sand

Hardscape:    Lots  of  Rocks  (Getting  the  right  ones  will  be  the  most  difficult  part  for  this  scape)

 Light:  To  be  decided

 Filter:  HOB

 Flora:

 Willow  Moss
 Java  Moss
 Flame  Moss
 Coral  Pelia

 HI  Seetharam,

The  picture  is  very  inspiring,  however  to  recreate  it  I  guess  you  require  more  depth.

Say  a  2'*2'*2'  or  3'*2'*2'  Tank...  Height  could  be  reduced  ...  This  my  opinion.

 Regards,
 Surya

How  about  a  triangle  tank  with  moss  wall  of  rear  sides?  How  are  you  going  to  create  water  and  water  falls?

@  Surya  -  I  want  to  keep  the  overall  dimension  of  the  tank  small  so  that  the  stone  hardscape  will  not  be  too  large,  hence  more  difficult  to  get  ..  atleast  the  right  ones.

@  Hamza:  Not  a  fan  of  odd  shaped  tanks.  Water  will  be  depicted  by  the  off  white  sand,  have  a  few  ideas  to  depict  the  water  flowing  down  the  rocks  but  dont  know  if  it  will  work,  wil  have  to  run  some  trial  runs.

The  lake  appears  to  be  a  brown  coloured  glass  placed  on  the  bottom.  Same  type  the  interior  decorators  use  on  woodden  walls.
